Dear Mr, and Mrs. Lee:
This office was informed by the Clerk of Circuit Court that the above -referenced
property, which was assessed in your names, was erroneously sold at a tax
deed sale on August 24, 1999. Apparently the error was due to a
communication breakdown brrtween the Tax Collector's Office and the Office of
the Clerk of Circuit Court.
Corrective action has been taken and the above -referenced property is now titled
back in your names. Enclosed for your permanent property records are the
following documents reflecting the chain of ownership:
Copy of Tax Deed recorded on August 24, 1999 in O.R. Book 1291, Page
0392 of the Public Records of Indian River County, Florida wherein
property was sold to Stephen R. Hubbert and Lisa A. Hubbert.
Copy of Quit -Claim Deed recorded on September 30, 1999 in O.R. Book
12.96, Paye 2835 of the Public Records of Indian River County, Florida
wherein property was conveyed by Stephen R. Hubbert and Lisa A.
Hubert to Indian River County, Florida.
3. ORIGINAL County Deed recorded on September 30, 1999.in O.R. Book
1296, Page 2837 of the Public Records of Indian River County, Florida
wherein property was conveyed by Indian River County to you.

On behalf of Indian River County, I would like to extend an apology to you for
this unfortunate error. I have been told that this was the first time in Indian River
County's 74 -year history that a tax deed sale erroneously occurred. You can be
assured that certain procedures have now been put into effect to eliminate a
similar happening.
As additional information, property tax bills are expected to be mailed out near
the end of this month by the Indian River County Tax Collector. Should you fail
to receive your tax bill for the above -referenced property, please contact Carolyn
Bradley of the Indian River County Property Appraiser's Office immediately at
561-770-5185, Ext. 108.
