ADDENDUM TO CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF REQUIRED IMPROVEMENTS

This Addendum is entered into this& day of June, 2000, by and between BEAZER
HOMES CORP., a corporation existing under the laws of the State of Tennessee, hereinafter
referred to as "Developer" and INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, a political subdivision of the State of
Florida, by and through its Board of County Commissioners, hereinafter referred to as "County".
WHEREAS, Developer and County entered into a Contract for Construction of Required
Improvements No. SD -99-07-10-A (99030155-002),. dated May 2, 2000, hereinafter referred to
as "Contract°; and,
WHEREAS, in paragraph 1. of said Contract, the Developer agreed to complete the
improvements described therein on, or before, July 1, 2000; and
WHEREAS, due to unforeseen delays in the construction of said improvements beyond
the control of the Developer, the parties hereto wish to extend the July 1, 2000 completion date,
as referenced in paragraph 1 of the Contract,
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and promises herein
contained, the parties agree to extend the completion date, as referenced in paragraph 1 of the
Contract, to on, or before, March 1, 2001.
THEREFORE, in consideration of the extension of the completion date, as referenced
above, the Developer shall simultaneously herewith furnish a performance bond underwritten by
a surety insurer authorized to transact business in this State, which shall remain in full force and
effect until at least ninety (90) days past the new completion date, as referenced herein or until
the terms of the Contract have been fully complied with and satisfactorily completed as
determined by the County, per the terms of the Contract, in a form to be approved by the
County.
The terms of the Contract shall remain in full force and effect, except as modified herein.
This Addendum may be executed In two or more counterparts, each of which shall be

deemed an original, but all of which together shall constitute one and the same instrument.
Further, execution and facsimile transmission shall constitute execution and delivery of the
original.
WHEREFORE, the parties have executed this Addendum as of the date indicated
above.
