HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024-031RESOLUTION NO. 2024- 031 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF APPLICATIONS FOR GRANT FUNDING ASSISTANCE FROM THE FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION. WHEREAS, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is authorized to award Section 5307 and Section 5339 grant funds for the implementation of a public transportation program of projects; WHEREAS, Indian River County and the Senior Resource Association utilize FTA Section 5307 and Section 5339 funds to provide needed public transportation services within the County; and WHEREAS, in applying for FTA Section 5307 and Section 5339 funds, Indian River County and the Senior Resource Association will comply with all applicable federal regulations and requirements associated with the Section 5307 and Section 5339 programs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: I . That the Planning and Development Services Director or his designee is authorized to file applications on behalf of Indian River County with the Federal Transit Administration to finance and implement the capital and operating program of projects specified in the County's FY 2024 grant application under 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5307 and 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5339. 2. That the Chairman of the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners, the County Attorney, and/or Planning and Development Services Director are authorized to execute, and the Planning and Development Services Director is authorized to file with such application, an assurance or any other document required by the U.S. Department of Transportation effectuating the purpose of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. 3. That the Planning and Development Services Director or his designee is authorized to execute grant agreements with the U.S. Department of Transportation to finance and implement the program of projects specified in the County's FY 2024 grant application under 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5307 and 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5339. 4. That the County Administrator is authorized to set forth and execute necessary Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) policies in connection with such application as specified in the County's adopted DBE plan and in accordance with the federal requirements of 49 CFR Part 26. 5. That the Planning and Development Services Director or his designee is authorized to furnish such additional information as the U.S. Department of Transportation may require in connection with the County's FY 2024 grant application under 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5307 and 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5339.
