WORK AUTHORIZATION AND SCOPE OF WORK

I. PROTECT DESCRIPTION
Provide engineering services by providing personnel to manage the County Landfill on a
temporary basis.
II. SCOPE OF SERVICES
Professional engineering services to manage the County landfill and associated solid waste
operations for an interim period of twelve (12) weeks. More specifically, Camp Dresser &
McKee Inc. ("consulting engineer") will provide a professional, subject to approval by the
County, to assume the duties of interim solid waste supervisor on a temporary basis in
accordance with the job description attached hereto. The individual provided shall be on
duty and shall perform work as directed by the County, but shall not be considered a
County employee, and shall not be paid by the County or be entitled to any benefits of
County employment.
III. CONSULTING ENGINEER INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
The consulting engineer shall maintain in force insurance coverage as set forth in the
Professional Engineering Services Master Agreement between Solid Waste Disposal District
and Camp Dresser & McKee Inc.
IV. COMPENSATION FOR SERVICES
The consulting engineer shall be compensated as set forth in Attachment B, up to a
maximum of $16,200, only for time spent by the individual furnished by the consulting
engineer as interim landfill supervisor.
V. CONFLICT OF INTEREST
The acting interim landfill supervisor provided by the consulting engineer shall not review,
manage, or exercise any authority over any project in which the consulting engineer is
involved.
VI. TERMINATION
Indian River County may discontinue the services of the interim landfill supervisor
furnished by the consulting engineer at any time by providing notice to the consulting
engineer.
