FIFTH RENEWAL TO THE COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN e) D' 304
THE ST. JOHNS RIVER WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
AND
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FOR
CONTROLLING ABANDONED ARTESIAN WELLS
THIS RENEWAL AGREEMENT is entered into this 10th day of October in the year
2000, by and between the GOVERNING BOARD of the ST. JOHNS RIVER WATER MANAGEMENT
DISTRICT ("DISTRICT"), whose address is Post Office Box 1429, Palatka, Florida 32178-1429, and
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ("COUNTY"), whose mailing address is 1840 250, Street, Vero Beach, FL
32960.
WHEREAS, DISTRICT and COUNTY entered into an Agreement on January 18, 1996, for
controlling of abandoned artesian wells; and
WHEREAS, DISTRICT and COUNTY renewed the Agreement on November 5, 1996, December
10, 1997, September 9, 1998, and September 28, 1999.
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the premises which are made a part of this
RENEWAL AGREEMENT, and the mutual covenants contained herein, DISTRICT and COUNTY renew the
original AGREEMENT, Contract #96D110, for an additional twelve (12) month period beginning October 1,
2000, and ending September 30, 2001, with each party contributing $20,000 for plugging services.
DISTRICT and COUNTY agree that all other terms and conditions of the original Agreement are
hereby ratified and continue in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this RENEWAL AGREEMENT to be executed on
the day first above written.
