BUTLER, CLERK OF COURT INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FL BK. 3743 PG 1804 Page 1 of 1 12!17/2024 2 42 PM PROCLAMATION DECLARING A LOCAL STATE OF EMERGENCY IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN CONNECTION WITH HURRICANE MILTON WHEREAS, on October 5, 2024, Governor Ron DeSantis, in his capacity as Governor of the State of Florida, issued Executive Order Number 24-214, declaring that a state of emergency exists in all or portions of the State of Florida by reason of Hurricane Milton; and WHEREAS, pursuant to section 101.10(1) of the Code of Indian River County, and Resolution 2024-016 of the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners, the County Administrator is authorized to declare a local state of emergency upon making a determination that a natural disaster has occurred or is imminent, requiring immediate and expeditious action, NOW, THEREFORE, in my capacity as County Administrator, I hereby (1) determine that, by reason of Hurricane Milton, the threat of a natural disaster has occurred or is imminent, requiring immediate and expeditious action, and (2) declare that a local state of emergency exists in all of Indian River County, Florida, effective as of 7:00 a.m. on this 10th day of December, 2024. The initial declaration was signed by me as County Administrator on October 7, 2024, and a state of emergency still exists due to the aftermath of Hurricane Milton. G4 -.4 / - - John A.
