HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-049p AMMENDMENT #1 SCOPE OF WORK ATTACHMENT to AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BETWEEN BRAD SMITH ASSOCIATES, INC. and Indian River County Board of County Commissioners 1820 25th St. Vero Beach, Florida 32960 PROJECT NAME AND LOCATION: Jungle Trail/Pelican Island Refuge Enhancement Project Indian River County Florida SCOPE/SERVICES: GENERAL: At the January 4, 2001 review meeting, it was determined that additional services would be required for the project. These services include: Cairns Site A. Mitigation plan for wetland impacts: 1. Review drawings submitted to the SJRWMD and identify development and mitigation areas in the field. 2. Identify existing wetland conditions that need improvement and the type improvements that would provide the greatest wetland improvements. 3. Flag wetland boundaries in accordance with Chapter 62-340, F.A.C. and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 1987 Wetland Delineation Manual. 4. Meet with SJRWMD to review the development wetland impacts, mitigation areas, and mitigation ratios. 5. Prepare a mitigation plan including drawings, written narrative and tables and submit the plan to the County. B. Survey, Design and Permitting: 1) Provide additional topographic survey to include the access roadway and area filled by the County for placement of the cottage. 2) Prepare revised design drawings and details for a stormwater management system to serve the restroom, parking area and cottage area. The base plan showing the layout and design of the cottage and ramp up to the cottage. 3) Prepare and submit a joint SJRWMD/ACOS permit application for the improvements at the Cairns site. The previously prepared stormwater management calculations report and exhibits will be revised to separate the Attachment - 1 r. 40 Cairns site permitting package from the Surman/Kennedy sites permit package, creating two separate permit application packages. 4) Coordinate with Environmental Consulting Group, Inc. relative to addressing wetland mitigation issues and for obtaining responses to requests for additional information from permitting agencies. 5) Perform a location survey of the on-site wetland as flagged in the held by Environmental Consulting Group. urman/Kennedy Sites: A. Revise water and sewer design drawings and details to eliminate the restroom along with water and sewer facilities serving the Surman site. The gravity sewer system serving the Kennedy site will be replaced with a private pump station and force main. The force main will be routed to the property line at S.R. A -1-A. CAI will prepare and submit a "dry -line" FDEP sewer permit application for the facilities serving the Kennedy site restrooms. The 4 -inch diameter water main will be eliminated and a water service will be installed from the water main within S.R. A - 1- A right-of-way to provide water service to the Kennedy site restrooms. No FDEP water permit will be required. No FDOT permits will be required. FEE ARRANGEMENT: The Client agrees to pay the Landscape Architect for professional services as follows: A lump sum of Thirteen Thousand Ten Dollars and 00/100 ($13,010.00), according to the following schedule of values: Cairns Site Mitigation plan $6,200.00 Survey, Design & Permitting $4,870.00 Surman/Kennedy Sites Revisions to water and sewer design drawings $1,940.00 Invoices shall be prepared on a monthly basis. ADDITIONAL SERVICES: Additional services may include, but not be limited to the following items: A. Making revisions in drawings, or other documents when such revisions are inconsistent with written approvals or instructions previously given, and are due to causes beyond the control of the Landscape Architect.
