HomeMy WebLinkAbout2025-008RESOLUTION 2025 00,9 - RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SIDEWALK ALONG 41ST STREET FROM 32ND AVENUE TO US HIGHWAY 1 FOR THE 2025 TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVES PROGRAM (TAP) APPLICATION FOR THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) WHEREAS, the sidewalk construction along 41s' Street from 32nd Avenue to US Highway 1 is an Indian River County priority project; and WHEREAS, the 411t Street sidewalk project is identified as a high priority project in the Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan and the Gifford Neighborhood Plan; and WHEREAS, the Indian River County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Board included this project on its List of Priority Projects (LOPP) the for the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP); and WHEREAS, the State of Florida, Department of Transportation has requested Indian River County submit to the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, this Resolution of Support for the 2025 TAP application; and WHEREAS, the improvements of the project are located within Indian River County right- of-way of 41St Street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized to sign and submit to the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, a Resolution of Support for the 41st Street sidewalk project. The maintenance of said sidewalk will be maintained by the Indian River County once completed. The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner Loar who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Earman and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: Chairman Joseph E.
