FLORAVON SHORES SEPTIC TO SEWER - IRCDUS 21.19.556
This Amendment 1 to Work Order Number 2 is entered into as of this 9th day of
December, 2025, pursuant to that certain Continuing Contract Agreement, dated April 17, 2018, renewed
and amended as of May 18, 2021 (collectively referred to as the "Agreement"), by and between INDIAN
RIVER COUNTY, a political subdivision of the State of Florida ("COUNTY") and Schulke, Bittle &
Stoddard, LLC ("Consultant").
1. The COUNTY has selected the Consultant to perform the professional services set forth in existing Work
Order Number 2 , Effective Date June 8, 2021
2. The COUNTY and the Consultant desire to amend this Work Order as set forth on Exhibit A (Scope of
Work) attached to this Amendment and made part hereof by this reference. The professional services will
be performed by the Consultant for the fee schedule set forth in Exhibit B (Fee Schedule), and within the
timeframe more particularly set forth in Exhibit C (Time Schedule), all in accordance with the terms and
provisions set forth in the Agreement.
3. From and after the Effective Date of this Amendment, the above -referenced Work Order is amended as
set forth in this Amendment. Pursuant to paragraph 1.4 of the Agreement, nothing contained in any Work
Order shall conflict with the terms of the Agreement and the terms of the Agreement shall be deemed to
be incorporated in each individual Work Order as if fully set forth herein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Amendment 1 to Work Order 2 as of
the date first written above.

Please accept this as a formal request to amend the Work Order No. 2, to provide for additional
time and compensation for Contract Administration Services for the above referenced project.
The project was initially contemplated in 2018, and SBS was asked to prepare a proposed work
order. After several years of deliberating the merits of the project, IRC approved the WO in June
2021. SBS prepared the engineering plans and specifications in 2021/2022. However, IRC
decided to postpone the construction. In 2025, IRC decided to move forward with the project.
During the design and permit review of the project, IRC PW / engineering required that the
project include drainage improvements, the raising (elevation), regrading and re -building of a
portion of the road, and the milling and overlay of the entire road within the impacted area. In
addition, due to the change in the scope of the construction, the timeline for the work changed
from 5 to 6 months to 11 to 12 months. Because of the significant increase in the duration of the
work and the complexity of the work, the engineer's contract administration scope, work and
fees is requested to be adjusted.
Attached is the worksheet which estimates the manhours and fee total for the Contract
administration services anticipated for the work. The total CA fees are estimated to be:
$43,194.50.
Change to contract:
The contract proposal provided for a total fee of $43,194.50, of which $13,500 was budgeted for
Contract Administration.
The change in the total contract amount and the CA amount is $29,694.50.
