A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF
APPLICATIONS FOR GRANT FUNDING ASSISTANCE FROM THE
FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION.
WHEREAS, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is authorized to award Section
5307 grant funds for the implementation of a public transportation program of projects;
WHEREAS, Indian River County and the Senior Resource Association utilize FTA
Section 5307 funds to provide needed public transportation services within the County; and
WHEREAS, in applying for FTA Section 5307 funds, Indian River County and the Senior
Resource Association will comply with all applicable federal regulations and requirements
associated with the Section 5307 program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS:
1. That the Planning and Development Services Director or his designee is authorized to file
applications on behalf of Indian River County with the Federal Transit Administration to
finance and implement the capital and operating program of projects specified in the
County's FY 2021 grant application under 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5307.
2. That the Chairman of the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners, the
County Attorney, and/or Planning and Development Services Director are authorized to
execute, and the Planning and Development Services Director is authorized to file with
such application, an assurance or any other document required by the U.S. Department of
Transportation effectuating the purpose of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
3. That the Planning and Development Services Director or his designee is authorized to
execute grant agreements with the U.S. Department of Transportation to finance and
implement the program of projects specified in the County's FY 2021 grant application
under 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5307.
4. That the Planning and Development Services Director or his designee is authorized to
furnish such additional information as the U.S. Department of Transportation may require
in connection with the County's FY 2021 grant application under 49 USC Chapter 53,
Section 5307.
The foregoing Resolution was offered by Commissioner Joseph H. R -mi 1 and seconded by
Commissioner Joseph E. F7.gclvr , and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:
