SATURDAY, N'OV.E MER 10th 1934.
At a special meeting of the Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River
County, Florida, held at Vero Beach, at 2:00 o'clock P.M. Saturday, November 10th 1934,
the following members of the Board were present: J.J.P.Namilton, Chairman; Frank C.
Vickers and R. E. Mudge. also present were Files'Warren, Clerk and 'dm.W.Frick,Sheriff.
The Chairman announced the special meeting was for the purpose of canvassing the
returns from the local wet and dry election held on Tuesdays November 6th 1934 and such
other matters as may properly come before the Board.
The Board then proceeded to canvass the returns from said election and mode the
following certificate with respect to their findings:

'We, the undersigned, as members of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian
River County, Florida, and as the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County,
Florida, do hereby certify that we met at the Court House of said County in Vero Beach,
Florida, on the 10th day of November, 1934, and proceeded publicly to canvas the votes
given "to decide whether sale of intoxicating liquors, wines or beer shall be prohibited
in Indian River County, Florida" as cast at the general election held in said County on
the 6th day of November, 1934, as shown by the returns duly signed as provided by law,
by the Inspectors and Clerk of said election in each and all of the respective voting
precincts in said County, and we do hereby certify from said returns that the vote cast
in said County on said proposition was as follows:
For selling: Five Hundred seventy-six (576) votes
Against selling: Two Hundred forty-eight ( 248) votes.

It was ordered that John Grabnegger, Fellsmere, be restored to the pauper list
for the amount formerly receiving until the further orders of this Board.
The following bills and accounts, having been audited, were examined and found
correct, were approved for payment, and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same:

There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board then
adjourned until the regular meeting -,o be held in December 1934..
