Tuesday, Yebruary 5th 1935, with the following members of the Board present: J. J. r. hamiltong Chairman; Frank C. 'Pickers; K. N. Mudge and bdwin x. Helseth. Absent B. P. Poole* also present were. Wm. W. Frick, Bheriff; Chas. A. litchell, attorney and Miles Marren, Clerk. The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. Miss Leila M. Bubkley appeared before the Board regarding Mrs Mahala Horton Uo ll - nick. It was ordered that the sum of 010.00 per month be paid to Riss Bunkley, for the account of Mrs. Uollniek, it appearing to the satisfaction of this Board she is a pauper. Ctrs. Haire Jewell messenger appeared before the Board regarding the L. J. Holland family. after considerable discussion no action was taken. b. N. 'Suith, attorney appeared before the Board and submitted a bill for w. H. Fretwell in the sum of 010,000.00 for alleged injury while riding on a County track to his work as a FERA laborer. the Board when on record as disclaiming any and all liability in connection with this claim. it was ordered that Mrs Eva Helen Vojtik be restored to the Mothers' Pension Fund, to receive the sum of *6.00 per month until the further orders of this Board. F. G. Fdetcher, €2iairman and 0. X. Mardoch, a member of the School Board appeared before the Board and requesting that all funds above the amounts now in the budget to come from the Race Track Fund be donated to the school Board. The matter was held in abeyance pending the final receipt of the funds. The Notary vublic bond of J. J. Bustin in the sum of V500.00 with the American 'Wrety Company, a corporation, as surety was approved. the following resolution was introduced by Commissioner Nudge, who moved its adoption: wH XXA8, the Board of Administration has submitted certain proposals of firms and corporations to sell to said Board of Administration bonds of the County of Indian hive , under the 'provisions of Mouse Bill oto. 30, acts of the 1933 Legislature, and, wHERRA'S, after carefully considering all of such proposals, and considering the amount of funds available and in the hands of said Board of Administration, and taking Into consideration the approximate value of said bonds, it is deemed advisable to pure certain of said bonds and obligations, to -wit: One (1) bond of Special R & B List #19 dated Jan 1, 1918 due Jul 1 1936, at 47 flat, as designated offering "a" Three (3) Highway bonds of St Lucie County, dated Feb 1 1920, due 19389 at 55 flat as designated offering "F". THWA F0R19, BE iT ABSOLUD, that the Board of Administration be requested to pu the foregoing bonds in accordance with the teras of the offerings and the lave in relation thereto. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Vickers, and upon being put to a vote the same was unanimously adopted. It was ordered that the bill of uhairm:a.n J. J. P. Hamilton, in the sum of 125.00 f or expenses in connection with attending a meeting of the State Road ]department in Tallahassee be approved,,, �- The following resolution was introduced by Commissioner Mudge; WHER'E,As, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, has heretofore made application to the Federal Emergency Adminkstration of ]Public Works "' [1 for a loan with which to construct a Court House in and for said County, in Vero, Behch, Flo rad a; and 1hereaas, the legal division of said Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works has allowed this Bmrd to amend its said application; therefore, in accordance with said leave to amend; It is hereby resolved that said application for said loan be amended so that it s shall be set_ forth therein that Vero Beach, Florida, has been .established as t1r perman- ent county sent of said county, and that the proposed court House will be constructed at said permanent county seat, and by offering general obligation bands of :said countyp payable from an unlimited ed valorem tax s?uring over a period of twenty-five yearst as evidence of and security for said loan. Be it further resolved that the Chairman and Clerk Of this Board be, and they are, hereby authorized and empowered to proceed to complete negotiations for said loan in accordance with the amended application and are hereby empowered in the name Cr and on behalf of this Boy rd to proceed to cemplete the negotiations for said loan in accordance with said application and the terms of this resolution: Said reholution was duly seconded and upon being put to a vote was adopted as follows: Ayes: Comas. Mudge, Vickers, & Helseth lays s Hone W. R. Duncan, Tax Assessor, filed his report of receipts and disbursements of his office for the period January lot 1934 to December 31st 19340 which is as follows: Sarned & collected in 1934. BET INCOME feiv-1854.::.... 2436.94 Rich report was duly and regularly sworn to before Miles warren, Clerk Circuit Court on February 5th 1935. The several bills and accounts against the County, having been €audited, were exam- ined and found correct, were approved, and warrents ordered issued in settlement of same. 'u ch bills and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk Uircuit Court. The warrants so issued being listed completely in the supplemental minute book of this Board as provides by the roles and practice. The County depository filed its monthly report of receipts and disbursements of the various funds which having been checked over was found to be correct. There being no further business on .motion made, seconded and carried the Board then adjourned until the regular meeting to be held in March 1935. ATTEST s Chairman Clerk.
