The Board of County commissioners in and for Indian River county, Florida, met at the Court Douse in Vero Beach, at 10:00 ofolack A* M. i'aesday, April 9nd 1935,. -with ,the following member - of the Hoard present: J.J.P.Hamilton, chairman; Frank C.. Vickers; it. B. Widge; N. P. Dole and Rdwin A. Helsethe also present were = W. Prick, Sheriff, Chas. A. Hitchell, attorney, and Miles Warren, Clerk, the minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Mrs. Mary Orice, Vero Beach, who was stricken from the Mothers+ Pension list when her son entered the-C.C.C.Camps, and who was diecharoed, was ordered restored to that lint to receive-=;ther sum, of V6.00 per month until the further orders of this Board. sm. F. Johnson, wabassso, who has been receiving an allowance from this Boarrd b ing now in each physical condition that he cannot longer care for himself, it was ordered the allowance be increased to x+25.00 per month and he be placed in the -Magnolia Home, Lockhart, Florida. GJ. F. A111ams, M= *inter Beach, who has been receiving an allowance from this Board, now being confined to his bed, it was ordered the allowance be increased to 012* per month until the further orders of this Board. it was ordered that Mrs Bdna Loudermilk, Sebastian, be placed on the pauper list to receive the sum of 910.00 per month temporarily, and she be requested to oonfer with the County Judge relative to proceedings against her husband to enforce support. it was moved, seconded and carried that B. P. Poole, a member of this Board, be named and designated as a member of the county Planning council, as the representative the Board of County Commissioners. it was ordered that the fish house erected partly on right.of-way of County road at the minter Beach Bridge be removed therefrom. It was ordered that interest coupons, now in default, from bonds of, the quay Bridge District be purchased at 750 on the dollar, as an investment, with such funds as are now available. Attention vas called to the fest that Mrs Jessie Yates, Sebastian, who has been receiving an allowance from this Board had re -married, it was ordered that she be from the rolls. The Notary Public bond of o. R. Hardoch, in the sum of V500.00 with Columbia Casu- alty Company, a corporation, as surety was approved. The Clerk was instructed to prepare a proposal to sell to the state Road Department one ld ton 3 wheel Buffalo -Springfield roller for the sum of X1,000.00 f.o.b.vest Palm Beach. The following resolution was introduced by commissioner Mudge, who moved its adoptions W�W, the Board of Administration has submitted certain proposals of firers and corporations to sell to said Board of nftinistration certain bonds of the County of Indian River, and obligations assumed by said county, under the provisions. of mouse Bill No. 309 Acte of the 1933 Legislature, and WHUUW', after carefully considering all of such proposals, and considering the amount of funds available and in the hams of said board for, that parpose, and taking Into consideration the approximate value of said bonds, it is deemed advisable to pur- chase certain -of said besnds and-obligatoss, to-�rits One (1) St Lucie County, now Indian River County, bpecial RM District #1 bond, dated Jan 1, 1918 due July 1, 1937 at 46* flat, as designated "a". The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited# were examined, and found correct were approved and warrants ordered issued In settlement of The several bills as approved. -being .on file in the office of the Clerk Circuit Court. The warrants so issued from the respective #ands being listed completely in the supplemental minute book, as provided by the rales of the State .auditor, reference to said record being made a pert or these minutes as fully and completely as 1f . set but herein in detail. she County Depository tiled its monthly statement or receipts and disbursements'of the various runts, which rmving been audited was mound to be correct. Nartin, Conservasor or the Bamers Bank of vero beam, Florida, submitted a letter of consideration to the board offering to deed the Board of county UOMIssionere buildings known as Upton Court Apartments consisting of Lots 7 and 9 block 2, hdge- wood 'Second Addition to Vero isesch in full settlement of the claims against the Bank of the County consisting of *7,189.65 of general County deposits and ;25,384.b3 of account of the Tax Collector, which has been endorsed over to this Board* it was order, that the same be taken under advisement and consideration. There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the board then adjourned until the regular meeting in hay, 1935. Tuesday, May 7th 1935, with the following members of the Board presents J. d. P. Hamilton, tmairman; Frank u. Vickers; H. S. Madge; X. P. Poole and bdwin A, Helseth, also present were Chas A. xitchell, attorney; t n. w. Frick, Sheriff and Niles warren, clerk. The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved. G. K. Murdoch, representing the County ;school board appeared and requested the am of $3500.00 of the race track funds to be given the School Board. This request was under consideration And advisement. H. H. Hi eld appeared before the Board and presented the following Road Petitions ROAD PBTITION* STATE OF FLORIDA s 0 OUBTY OF L I JW IAN RIVER) TO THE HONOBAB?A BOAHD OF COUNTY COMKIS31OBBILS OF SAID COUNTY: Cie nt lemen: - se, the undersigned citizens of the County of Indian h1ver, State of Florida, respectfully represent that the necessities of the public require a County Road to be laid out as follows,. to. -wits "That extension of Glendale Avenue be made along the south Bank of sublateral ditch C-1 instead of along the Borth bank thereof, and in return for the said establish- ment of road extension along south bank of sublateral 0-19 undersigned, Horace H. Hield, party agrees to furnish .tractor power necessary to grade said read extension for one - mile in extent. Said road right-of-way to be not less than 50 fte in width. we therefore petition your honorable body to cause to be laid out and opened a County Road as above described, and we, the owners of the land through which said Road Is sought to be laid out, in consideration of the sun of Une dollar to us each and severally in hand paid by the said County of Indian River, the receipt of which Is hereby acknowledged, hereby agree to give the right-of-way through our lands, as shown by the plat accompanying this petition, and relinquish all,:caaims for damages by reason thereof.
