letter of consideration to the board offering to deed the Board of county UOMIssionere
buildings known as Upton Court Apartments consisting of Lots 7 and 9 block 2, hdge-
wood 'Second Addition to Vero isesch in full settlement of the claims against the Bank
of the County consisting of *7,189.65 of general County deposits and ;25,384.b3 of
account of the Tax Collector, which has been endorsed over to this Board* it was order,
that the same be taken under advisement and consideration.
There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the board
then adjourned until the regular meeting in hay, 1935.

following members of the Board presents J. d. P. Hamilton, tmairman; Frank u. Vickers;
H. S. Madge; X. P. Poole and bdwin A, Helseth, also present were Chas A. xitchell,
attorney; t n. w. Frick, Sheriff and Niles warren, clerk.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved.
G. K. Murdoch, representing the County ;school board appeared and requested the am
of $3500.00 of the race track funds to be given the School Board. This request was
under consideration And advisement.
H. H. Hi eld appeared before the Board and presented the following Road Petitions

"That extension of Glendale Avenue be made along the south Bank of sublateral
ditch C-1 instead of along the Borth bank thereof, and in return for the said establish-
ment of road extension along south bank of sublateral 0-19 undersigned, Horace H. Hield,
party agrees to furnish .tractor power necessary to grade said read extension for one -
mile in extent. Said road right-of-way to be not less than 50 fte in width.

the following resolution was introduced by commissioner Nudge, who moved its
adoption:
WHBKEAb,. the Board of Administration has submitted certain proposals of firms and
egrp®rati®ns to sell to said Board of Administration certain bonds of the County or
Indian river, and obligations b,8sumed by said County, under the provisions of house bill
NO. 30, acts of the 1933 Legislature, and
0191WAS, after carefully considering all of such proposals, and considering the
amount of funds available and in the hands of said board for that purpose, and taxing
into consideration the approximate value of said bonds, it is deemed advisable to pur-
chase certain of said bonds and obligations, to•witt

The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Vickers, and upon being
put to a vote the same -tae unanimously adopted.
The Clerk announced a sufficient number of A Lucie county Court douse Notes and
Interest coupons have been purchased, at a cost of #180300.001, to retire the total
indebtedness due at India County, on account or this one item, which total is OU90689909
whereupon it was ordered that the chairman and clerk be authorized to make final settle -
meat with the Board of County Coammissioners of ut Lucie County.
It appearing there is a surplus of Race Track rinds amounting to ;p4,bb2.60, over

Commissioner nudge introduced the following resolution and moved its adoptions

w1ER3AS, The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, have on
deposit with Farmers Bank of Vero beach, Florida, certain moneys and accounts which are
frozen and° are -,not subject to check or withdrawal; and,
wHEMB, Emory R. Martin, as Conservator of said Farmers bank of Vero Beach, and on
behalf of said Bank, has offered to convey by good and sufficient warranty deed, free
clear of all incumbrances and liens, two apartment buildings located in Vero Beach,
Florida, and known as the Hampton Court apartments, in satisfaction and .liquidation of
frozen deposits and accounts of , the said ..hoard of County Commissioners; now,
DR IT RESOLVED that the hoard of County Commissioners of Indian River County,Flo
does herewith record itself as being favorable to the liquidation of said frozen accounts
and deposits that may be by it owned and within its full control by the acceptance of
conveyances of property to Indian River County, subject to the approval of the particular
property by said Board, and subject to the accounts exchanged therefor being fully within
the control of said Board; therefore,
BE IT FURTHER 1HESOLVED, that this hoard proceed to negotiate and deal with the said
Conservator of the Farmers Bank of Vero Beach upon the proposition hereinbefore outlined
providing that the Adoption of this resolution shall not be considered as a final accept -
once nor as binding this Board in any manner whatsoever with regard to said proposition,
but shall be construed as signifying this hoard's desire to negotiate with the said
Conservator for the purpose of liquidating said frozen deposits and accounts but that no
liability or expense shall attaoh to this Board until such time as an agreeable trans-
action shall he finally completed and ratified by further resolution of this Board*
the motion for the adoption of the resolution being duly seconded, it was declared
adopted unanimously.
the several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were exami
and found corredt and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. such bills and
accounts being on file in the office of Clerk circuit court, the warrants so issued from
the respective funds being listed completely in the County Finance Record as provided by
law and the rules established by the state Auditing vepartmento and made a part of these
minutes as fully and completely as if the same were set out herein in detail.
The Cgunty Depositary filed its monthly statement of receipts and disbursements of
the various funds, which having been checked was f ound to be correct.
There being no further 'business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board then
adjourned until the regular meeting to be held in June 1941,.
