Pursuant to duly adapted motion of - ad jour meat of regular neeting of the Board of
County Comi.ssioners of Indian River County, Florida hold February 4, 1.936, the Board of County

Subject to the tertius and conditions of an offer dated AUgUSt 24th, 19389 from the
United States of America to Indian River County, Florida, wherein the United States of America
offered to aid in financing the construction of a project therein defined, which offer was ac-
cepted by the County September 3rd, 1938, and the official notice of sale -of Court House Bunds
of said County, the United States of America offers to purchase 9504 aggregate principal
amount of Court House Bonds of said County (being part of'an authorized issue of`$45,500 of so
Bonds), to be dated September 1, 19359 to bear interest at the rate of four per centum'(4) per
annum payable semi --annually on March l and September 1 in each year, first Inter -eat payable
March 19 19360 to be in the denomination of $1,0000 each, except bond`Ho.l, which is to be In
the denomination of $300, to mature in the amount of $500 on September 1, 1937, $1,000 on Sept-
ember 1, in each of the years 1933 to 1939;1nclusive, $2,000 on September 1, in each of the
years 1940 to 1951 inclusive, and $3,000 on September 1, in each of the years 1952 to 1958 in-
clusive, to be redeemable at the option of the County in inverse numerical order at par plus
accrued interest on any, interest payment date after,publioation once each week for four Congo-
outive weeks in a financial newspaper published in Now York, N. Y. of notice of intention to

bonds which it herein offers to purchase until a certified copy of the transcript of

Emergency Administration of Public Works evidencing to the satisfaction of the Administrator
that said bends are valid and binding obligations of said County, payable as to bath principal
and interest from ad valorem taxes which may be levied without limit as to rate or amount upon
all of the taxable property located within the territorial limits of Indian River County,

A request was received by the City of iellonere for the County road crew to .repair the
streets of that City and,oharge the some up to their porportionate part of the ,Rogd &Bridge
taxes collected' within the City Limits. The Road Superintendent was instructed .to `do this ,
work and report to the -Clerk the'amount expended in -order that same be charged up to the
City of Fellomere. -
Mrs. Wbil Q. Hearne ,Sodialawelfare Repiesents tine appeared before the Board and went
into the questioit of the `construc'tion of a sinitorium for tubercular patients in the Stsa,te,'
with the use of V .P.* -.Funds, and requested that the Bo and go on record that a ny p.erson so

regular session was properly certified to according to lav, and attached to said list of
jurors so selected was the nfXidavit of the mid board as required by the laws of Florida,
governing the selection of such jurors.
There. being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board then
adjourned until the regular meeting to be held in March, 1933.

The minutes of January 16th, February 4th and 17th 1936 were read and approved.
Mrs. Ella, Goodrich, Ho seland, appeared before the Board requesting repairs to the roads
in the Roseland precinct. Also T. A. -btelMrt, appeared requesting roads be placed in proper
condition and shape west of Vero Beach. These parties were advised that just as soon as the
work can be done and funds available for that purpose the respective requests will be compli-
ed wi th .
Miss Leila M. Bunkley and ,ars Rose Toohey before the Bogard and advised that Miss Bunkley
is now the appointed :federal Nurse for the County and explained the activities in connection
therewith.
It was ordered that the sum of X25.00 be appropriated out of the General Revenue :fund for
thread for the wPA sewing room.
Hr A. B. Crawford, appeared before the Board regarding the matter of residence of 4fr.
E . W . Shrewsbury. He was advi sed that thi s matter was now i n the hand s of the st Fate xo ad
Department and the City Health authorities.
fir, C. A. Lightsey, vainter Beach, appeared before the Board regarding the drainage from
the road leading North-east from state Road #4 , just Horth of -inter Beach to T OA.Vi ncent's
place. air. T. 0. Williams also. appeared at the some time and objected to all water being
drained from the road through his place. 'the Chairman agreed to attempt to work out some
satisfactory solution of the problem.
Mr. H. J. Young appeared before the Bogard and requested that the road from the old
Hutchinson corner to the South Wain canal be placed in condition. it was ordered the Road
Superintendent do this work at once.
