MARCH 3rd 1936. `the Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian Kivor County, Florida, met at the Court House . in Vero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock w. M. `Tuesday, March 3rd 1936, with the follow- ing members of the Board present: J.J.P.HFtimilton, Chainn€an; Frank C. Vickers; R. E. Mudge, E. P. Fbole and Edwin A. H[elseth. .Also present were: am. W. Frick, Sheriff; Chas. k. Mitch- ell , At -to rney and Miles warren, Clerk. The minutes of January 16th, February 4th and 17th 1936 were read and approved. Mrs. Ella, Goodrich, Ho seland, appeared before the Board requesting repairs to the roads in the Roseland precinct. Also T. A. -btelMrt, appeared requesting roads be placed in proper condition and shape west of Vero Beach. These parties were advised that just as soon as the work can be done and funds available for that purpose the respective requests will be compli- ed wi th . Miss Leila M. Bunkley and ,ars Rose Toohey before the Bogard and advised that Miss Bunkley is now the appointed :federal Nurse for the County and explained the activities in connection therewith. It was ordered that the sum of X25.00 be appropriated out of the General Revenue :fund for thread for the wPA sewing room. Hr A. B. Crawford, appeared before the Board regarding the matter of residence of 4fr. E . W . Shrewsbury. He was advi sed that thi s matter was now i n the hand s of the st Fate xo ad Department and the City Health authorities. fir, C. A. Lightsey, vainter Beach, appeared before the Board regarding the drainage from the road leading North-east from state Road #4 , just Horth of -inter Beach to T OA.Vi ncent's place. air. T. 0. Williams also. appeared at the some time and objected to all water being drained from the road through his place. 'the Chairman agreed to attempt to work out some satisfactory solution of the problem. Mr. H. J. Young appeared before the Bogard and requested that the road from the old Hutchinson corner to the South Wain canal be placed in condition. it was ordered the Road Superintendent do this work at once. 3`4 A A 3 U L U T I U 9: Commissioner Vickers introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption, to-wit: WHEREAS, property situated in Indian River County, .Florida, described its follows, d to-wit: North-west quarter. of South-west quarter and South half of South-west quarter in' Section 7 Township 31 South, Range 39 Eait,'was assessed for taxes in the year.1935 in I�di.an River County, Florida, by error by reason of the fact that in the year 1935' the said property was ana still is the public property of tiia City of ,sebastian, Florida, used and intended for public purposes, namely, the site of the Municipal Airport of the Uity o &ebastian,, Florida., THEREFORE, R BE IT FtWSA)LVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, does here- with instruct and request the Tax Assessor and the Tax Collector and either of them or both of them to cancel and nullify the said assessment and levy of State and County taxes upon property for the year 1935. Motion for the adoption of the resolution being duly seconded, it was unanimously carri ed. T,i RE SOLUT ION. The following resolution was introduced by Commissioner Vickers, who moved its adoption: WHEREAS, the Board of Administration has submitted certain proposals of firms, indivi- duals and corporations offering to sell to said Board of Administration certain bonds of the County of Indian River and obligations assumed by said County, under the provisions of House Bill No. 30, Acts of the 1933 Legislature, and WHEREAS, after carefully considering all of such proposals, and taking into considerat the amount of funds available for that purpose, and the approximate value of said bonds, it IF deemed advisable and expedient to purchase certain of said bonds, and obligations, to -wit: One (1) Special R&B Dist #4 bond #32 dated July 1, 1935 due July 1, 1932, at a price of 67, with no past due coupons attached, as desig- nated offering "A". Three (3) St Lucie County Public Highway bonds at a price of 78 flat as designated offering "B". Two (2) St Lucie County Public Highway bonds No. 201 & 204 due Feby 1, 1937 at a price of db flat as designated offering O C" . THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Administration be requested to purchase the foregoing bonds in accordance with the teams of the offerings as submitted, The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Mudge, and upon being put to a vote the same was unanimously adopted. It was ordered that the following persons 'be placed on the pauper last to receive the amount indicated until the further orders of the ooard: Mrs Me rvey situp son, Wabas so , 66 000 per month H. B. Po rter, Vero Beach, $8.00 per month It was ordered that the following named persons be stricken from the pauper list of the County: Renda Herring (col) Fellsmere Mrs. Jessie Yates, Fe llsmere The several bills 'ancr accounts against the County, having been audited, were examined and found correct, were approved, and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. Such bills and accounts -being on file in the office of the Ulerk of the Circuit Court. The warrants so issued from the respective funds being listed completely in the supple- mental minute book, as required by the rules and practice of the State auditing Department,, reference to such record and the list so recorded being made a part of these minutes as fully and completely as if the same were set out herein in detail.
