HomeMy WebLinkAbout8/7/1936rs4 FRIDAY, AUGUST 7th 1936. The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian Mixer County, met at the Court House in Vero Beach at 2:30 o'clock F . M. Priday, August 7th 1936, in adjourned meeting with the following members of the Board present: J.J.P.Hamilton, chairman; .R. E. Midge; Frank C. Vickers; E. P. Poole and Bdwin A. Helseth. Also present were wm. Frick, Sheriff and Miles 'Farren Clerk. The minutes of the meetings of the Board held March 3rd and 25th 1936 and april 7th and loth 1936 and May 5th and 12th 1926 and June 3rd and July 6th and 7th 1936, were all read and approved as read. Commissioner Mudge moved that the Board reconsider the order made at the regular meeting eg august 4th 1936 appropriating X1200.00 for County Home Demonstration work for the next fiscal year, and rescind the said order, which was seconded by Commissioner Vickers and upon being put to a vote each Commissioner voted as follows: Ayes: Comers. Midge; Vickery and Hamilton. Hays: Combs. Poole and Helseth, so it was declared that no appropriation be made for the year 1936--1937 for County home Demonstration work in this County. A request was made before the Board for a deed or easement to certain property owned by the County for jail and poor farm site for the benefit of the Vero Beach high School atheletic grounds. Commissioner Poole was instructed to advise the school Board to have a survey made tot determine just what land is wanted, after which the request will be taken under considera- tion. The minutes of the Delinquent Tax Adjustment Board of the meetings held Burch 25th and 28th 1936 were read and approved as read. There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board then adjourned until the regular meeting to be held in September, 1936. ATTEST: C 1 e r k. 0 rman 1 i
