The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, mot at the
Court House in Vero Beach, at 11:00 o'clock A. M. Saturday, January 2nd 1937, *i*k-the
in regular adjourned meeting, with the following members of the Board present, J.J.P.Hamil-
ton, Chaixmpn; Frank C. Vickors; E. P. Poole and Edwin A. Helseth. Abvort-R.E.Mudge.
Also present were Mm. W. Frick, Sheriff; Chas A. Mitchell, Attorney for the Board and Miles
Marren, Clerk.
The minutes of the meetings of December lot and 15th were read and ,approved.
RE SO LUT I 0 X.
The following resolution was intr.-duced by Commissioner Helseth, who moved its
adoption:
tREAS, the State Board of Administration has submitted certain proposals of indivi-
duals, firms and corporations offering to sell to said Board of Administration certain
bonds of Indian River County, and obligations assumed by said County, under the provisions
Of House Bill No. 30, acts of the 1933 Legislature, and
REAS, after carefully considering all of such proposals, and taking into considern-
tion the amount of funds available for that purpose, and the approximate value of said bonds
and obligations, it is deemed advisable and expedient to purchase certain of said bonds
and obligations, to -*it:
Two (2) Special R&B Dist #4 bonds dated July 1, 1925, due 1936, at a
price of 91 with July 1936 and subsequent coupons attached, as desig-
nated offering "A*
One (1) St Lucie County Public Highway 6% bond dated Feb 19 19209 due
Feb 1, 1945 at 85 flat, as designated offering "D".
One 'St Lucie County R&B Negotiable Note, issue of August 1923, due
August 1934, at a price of 90, with no past due coupons as designated
offering "F".
THEIMFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners, that theme State Board
of Administration be requested to purchase all the secutities listed above at the price
quoted.
The resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Vickers, ard upon being put to a vote
the same was unanimously adopted.
The Tax Assessor and Clerk presented a bill of the Florida Inland Navigation District
for the sum of $117.099 as
a difference
in
assessing homestead property on account of the
said Navigation District,
and explained
it
is of advantage to pay this item from the Outstand-
ing Indebtedness fund. The Bill was duly approved and ordered paid.
The Clerk -filed his reports of fees and commissions for the periods January 1, to June
30th 1936 and also July, let 1936 to December 31st 193&., which were ordered filed with the
Bo and.
The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were examined
and found correct were approved, and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. ,Such
bills and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk Circuit Court. The warrants
issued from the respective funds being listed in the supplemental minute book as required
by the rules and practice of the State Auditing Department, reference to said record and
the list so recorded beiT made a, part of these minutes.
The County Depository filed Its monthly statement, showing receipts and disbursements
of the various funds which having been audited was found to be correct.
There being no further business the Board then adjourned.
