Michael and declared adopted by the following vote Ayes: �10-, Glover Wd Michael Nayes: None The following resolution was then -introduced by Commissioner Glover.who moved its adoption to -wit: Be it resolved that the budget and the estimates of the necessary and ordinary expeni= ses and extraordinary expenses contemplated by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian Y River County for the fiscal year 1938-1939 as fixed in the minutes of this Board and as adver- tised in the issues of the Vero Beach.Press-Journal,' Vero Beach, Florida, on duly 8th and 15th, 1938 and as amended at this meeting of this Board be and the same is hereby approved and adopted. The motion for the adoption of the resolution being duly seconded by Commissioner 40awl it was declared adopted by the following vote Ayes: Poole, glover and Michael Nayes: None The Board then proceeded with the matter of fixing the rate of taxation for the County and for Special -District purposes.for..the year 1936, and after careful consideration of the estimated receipts and expenditures the following resolution was offered by Commissioner M hael to -wit: Be it resolved that the rate of Taxation necessary -.to meet the expenses of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River and the various other funds as hereinafter set out, is as hereinafter levied and that tie,tax rate as shown and setforth.be and tt is hereby levied for the year 1938%at the rate hereinafter set out, to -wit: In order to meet the estimated current expenses of the County of Indian River of the 1 po� sum of $31,578.00, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of 'Eight (8) mills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby imposed upon all of the property lying --and being in the county of Indian River on the first day of January, 1938; for the GENERAL REVUE FUND,to meet the current expenses ,of the County and to provide for the expenditures as estimated in the bud- get hereinbefore set forth. To meet the expenses estimated to be necessary to be paid out of the FINE & FORFEITURE FM the sum of $12,316.75, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Three (3) � mills upon the dollar be levied, assessed, and is hereby imposed upon all the property lying and being in the County of Indian River on the first day of January, 1938, for the Fine & For- feiture Fund, to meet the current expenses as,estimated in the budget. The Board then proceeded to fix the millage for SPECIAL ROAD AND BRIDGE DISTRICT NO. 1, under Section 1656 of Chapter 12, Revised General Statutes, laws of Florida, and it was determined that a tax rate of Ts (10) mills on the dollar be levied and is hereby fixed and assessed for the year 1938, on all of the property in the County of Indian River, lying and being within the boundaries of the said District for the purpose of maintaining the highways constructed therein, which boundaries are as follows, to -wit: Beginning at the Northwest c of Indian River County,'run thence East on County line to the range line dividing Ranges 37 and 38, thence South on Range line between Ranges 37 and 38 to the North-west corner of Section 19 Tp 31 S. R. 38 1.,thence South on section line between Range line dividing Ranges 38 and 39 to the South-east corner of Tp. 32 S. R. 38 East, thence west on Township line to the west of Indian River County, thence North on west boundary of said.County to the point of beginning. Glover, thereupon, offered the following Resolution: RESOLVED, that the Tax Assessor in and for the County of Indian River, State of Florida, be and he is hereby directed to levy and assess all of the foregoing taxes as fixed and levied by this Board upon the property as levied and that he extend the taxes on the'valua- tion of such property according to said millage as fixed and determined by this Board on all the property subject to taxation in the said County of Indian .River, as to all taxes levied and intended to be entered on the assessment roll under the head of County taxes and upon all property lying and being within the Districts as described within the County of Indian River, as of the first day of January, 1938.
