Wednesday, October 12th., 1938, in adjourned meeting with the following members of the Board present; E. P. Poole, Chairman; C. S. Michael; S. E. Glover and Albert O. Helseth.. Absent was Frank C. Vickers. Also present were William Frick, Sheriff;, Charles A. Mitchell, Attorney for the Board and Douglas Baker, Clerk. The County Assessor of taxes,' W. R. Duncan, appeared before the Board and presented the tax rolls for the year 1938 on real and personal property and also intangible tax roll,whi were carefully examined and found correct and on -motion made by S. E. Glover, seconded by Albe 0. Helseth and carried were approved, and the warrant to each of said rolls were annexed theretc and is in words and figures following: THE STATE OF FLORIDA. To Troy E. Moody, Tax Collector of the County of Indian River: You are hereby commanded to collect out of the real estate and personal property, and from each of the persons and corporations named in the annexed roll, the taxes set down in each roll opposite each name, corporation or parcel of land therein described, and in case taxes so imposed are not paid at the time prescribed, by law, you are to collect the same by levy and sale of the goods and chattels, lands and tenements so assessed, or of the person or corporati so taxed; and all sums collected for the State..taxes you are to pay to the State Treasurer at such time as may be required by law, and at the same time you are to pay to the legally quali- fied Depository all sums collected for County taxes, district school taxes and other special. taxes; and you are further required to make all collections on or before the first Monday in April; and on or before the first Monday in July you will make a final report to and settlement with the Comptroller and County Commissioners. The Board authorized Douglas Baker, Clerk, and Frank A. Knight, Road Superintendent, to West Palm Beach, Florida, and confer with Mr. Harry'E. Meyers, WPA Supervisor, area No. 4 th regard to County projects which has already been approved. It was further ordered that all constitution- . al Amendments certified by the Secretary of State be printed thereon. It was further ordered that ballots be prepared for the Election of two Commissioners of Indian River Farms Fire Control District.
