The amount so drawn from the respec- tive funds is as follows: GENERAL REV= FUND ......0 FINE & FORFEITURE FUND. ROAD & BRIDGE FUND MOTHER'S PENSION FUND PUBLICITY FUND SPEC R & B DIST #4 (Bond. Fund) .. The several Depositories of the County filed their monthly statements of the various funds of the County. ATTEST: C 1 e•r k. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 13th 1926. The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met at the Court House on Saturday February 13th, 1926 at 2 o'clock P.M. The following members of the Board were present: John H Atkin, Chairman; J..W.LaBruce; G.A.Braddock, Donald Forbes and 0.0.Helseth. Also present was Miles Warren, Clerk, by Deputy, The Notary Public Bond of P. Z. Gallagher in the of $500.00„ with American Surety Company of New York, as surety, vais fitfaiimadvec4 The Notary Public Bond. of G. H. Braddock, in the sum of $500,00, with American Surety Company of New York as surety, was approved. A committee from the Vero Beach Realty Board, composed of Mr. W. E. Sexton, Mr. C. E. Cobb and Mr. C. E. Vinnedge, appeared before the Board, with request that -the Board of2,:County Commissioners employ a County Pam Demonstration agent for this County. After discussion of the matter, this Committee was invited to report and bepresent at the next regular meeting of this Board. Judge M. M. Miller and A. G. Roberts, appeared before the Board and filed petition for road as follows: Commencing at a point where the Old Dixie Highway South of G. L. Braddock'ss farm approaches the Florida East Coast Railroad. Thence Westerly across the Railt; Thence Southeasterly along and parallel to the Railway* right-of-way to the North line of Sect- ion 20, Tp. 31 S. R. 39 E. to a road already declared. The Cammmittee appointed. to -mark out and view this Road sire as, follows: Judge M.M. Millers A. G. Roberts and D. L. Leisher. The following Road Committee Report was received and filed.. ROAD CO. TEE REPORT. Vie, the undersigned Committee appointed by Honorable Body on the 13th. cigar of Feb- rasa, 1926, with instructions to view and mark out the best route for a public . road, des -eribed in the petitions beg leave to report to your honors as follows: That we, after first having subscribed to the oath required by law before entering on our duties make this our general report: That we proceeded to the said proposed location of the said public road upon the 13th day of February= 1926, and viewed and marred out the following as the best route for said proposed road. (Said. road is to be fifty (50) feet wide) - Beginning at a point in the 034 Dixie Highway, and on the South line of GJ .Braddock farm in Sec. 17; Twp. 31 S; R. 39 E., and. on the East Right of Vey Line of the Florida Last Coast Railway; Thence West across the Railway to a point 25 ft. westerly from the- West Right of Way Line of the Florida East Coast Railway; Vence South -Easterly along and parallel to the Florida East Coast Railway to the North line of Sec. 20, Twp. 31 S; R. 39 E., to the road already declared; the above described line being the center line of the road. The Bow of County Commissioners proceeded to publicly canvass the returns of the election held in Indian River County=Florida, on February 9th, 1926,ori the queation of the changing of the County Site of said County and to declare the Iseult of said elett- A ion as shown by such returns, and thereupon Commissioner J. W. LaB.r°tace, introduced the following resolution: =MO, it -pears from the returns of the election, held February 9th, 1926, in Indian River County, Florida, for a change of the County Site of said County, duly'certi -fled by the Clerks and a majority of the Inspectors of said election, and delivered by such Clerks and Inspectors to the Board of County Commissioners, that the votes cast at said election in the various precincts in said County were as follows, to -vita Precinct No. 1 - Roseland - Vero Beach 7 Winter Beach 25 Precinct No. 2 - Sebastian - Vero Beach 6 Winter Beach 98 Precinct No. 3 - Wabasso- • Vero Beach 15 Winter Beach 62 Precinct No. 4 - Qty - Vero Beach 4 Winter Beach`63 Precinct 8'o. 5 - North Vero Beach - Vero Beach 188: Winter Beach 6 Precinct 80.°6 - South Vero Beach - Vero Beach 329 Winter Beach 7 Precinct' lib. 7 - Oslo - Vero Beach 10 Winter. WHEREAS, it appears from the returns of the said election that at said election 563 votes were cast in favor of Vero Beach as the County Site of amid County, and 368 t- votes -were cast in favor of Winter Beach as the County Site of said County; and i}1 . , the Baud of County Co,mnf esioners of Indian River County has canvassed the returns of said election, and the result as shote by the certificates of the Clerks and Inspectors thereof and has found the sante correct; therefore be it RESOLVED, That the City of Vero Beau has received a majority of all the votes east at the election held in Indian River County, Florida, on February 9th, 1926, for the location of the County Site of said County, and that said City of Vera Beach, be, andthe same is, hereby declared duly elected the County Site of said. County by virtue of . said election, and that the result of said election,as it appears from the returns signed by the said election officers, be, and the same is hereby declared to be correct. Helseth. Nays: Commissioners- Hanes Commissioner J. W. Lairuce reported the proposed road. from Eau Gallie to West Pain Beach, running parallel with the present Dixie Highway, to relieve the corgi estion at traffic on the Dixie Highway, and after discussion, the Clerk was instructed to write Hon. Z. L. Cresap, State Hiway Engineer, Tallahassee, Florida, for advice in the matter. Ted. and carried that the Board take into consideration the location of the Court House at the next regular meeting to be held on the, first Tuesday 114tarch.
