M. TIMRSDAY, MARCH 18th, 1926. The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida* met at the Court House on Thursday, Marsh 18th. 1926 at 10:00 o'clock A. B. The following members of the Board were present: Jahn H. Atkin, Cham; 3» W. heaBruce, G. A. Braddock, Donald. Forbes and 0. 0. Helseth. Also present was Miles Warren, Clerk. The Cham and Clerk reported they had effected ab settlement with 8t. Lucie County on Funds arising from Tax Redemptions prior to the creation of Indian River Count with the following satount.collected: Road & Bridge $ 8539.78 Interest & Sink 432.34 General • 2584.17 Fine & Forfeiture »... 1033.67 Public Highway Bond. ' * 6718.84 Mothers Pension 252.11 Agricultural 252.11 Publicity. 252.11 20,065. 13 The following amounts for Prive Work on road has been received, as follows: Pellsaere Estates Corporation..... $ 1901.20 C. Greynolds 35.00 2199.00 It was ordered that this amount be placed to, they cr4djt of the Roand & Bridge Fund of the County. I. S. Coleman and C. L. Beugnot came before Board and stated land owners would give additional easement over road already established known as continuation of lateral "A!" road, Indian River Farms Drainage District, that is now 30 feet wide and established The Mai :<<: appointed y. W. ZaBruceri 0. L. Beugnot and D. L. Leisher to go over this and secure necessary easement for the additional right-of-way* Fames F. Morrison appeared before the: Board and protested Florida East Coast Railway Company ditching so near asphalt road at Roseland. It was ordered that County Engineer look into this .and protect County road. It was ordered that County Engineei work out 'best plan, put man on road from Winter Beach to quay Bridge and road on Peninsular North and have him patrol the roacd. L. • and keep it is good condition. The following mad petition was received, read and filed, to -wit: B ROAD 1TITI0N» STATE OP PLORTM COUNTY QP INDIAN RIVER. TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OP COUNTY' COMEISSION RS. OP SAID COY: Gentlemen: Te, the undersigned, citizens of the County of INDIAN RIPER, State of FLORIDA* respectfully represent that 'the .necessities of the public require a County Road to be laid out as follows, to -wits Ooaencing at a point fifteen feet south of the Horth West corner of the North -east quarter of the North-east quarter, See. 25; Twp. 33 8; R. 39 E.; Thence Burt poral.. lea to the Section line to 'a point in the Weat rightu►of..wa y line of the Dixie Highway in Sete. 30; Tap. 33 S; R. 40 F The above described line being the center line of the right of war. Said Road right-of-way to be not Less than -arty- feet in width. We therefore petition your honorable body to cause to be laid out and opened a County Road as above described, and we, the owners of the land through which said Road le sought to be 'laid out, in consideration of the sum of one dollar to us each and sever- ally a ally in hand .paid by the said County . of Indian River, the receipt of which is hereby se:.. knewledged, hereby agree to give the right -of -►way through our lands, as shown, by the plat accompanying this petition, and and relinquish all claims for damage by reason thereof. It was ordered that Albert 0. Helseth, Geo. A. Belseth and D. D. Leisher, be appointed to view, mark out said read and report to this Board. Motion made, seconded and carried that Chairman and Clerk enter into agreement with G. W. Smith respecting easement over following lands, - Beginning at Southeast corner of SW* of SBS`, Section la, Township 33, 'South,. Page 39 East, Seth to point 25 feet East of East Right -of -wadi line of Florida East Coast Railway to a point 330 feet North of South line SW* of Wei, Section 1 , Townsiai 35 South, Range 39 Eaast, thence West to Dixie Highway; said road being 50 feet in width above line being center line. Leisher.. ��s The Cmomittee appointed by the Board to vies and mark out the best route for a public road described in the petition as follows: Beginning at a point where ittate Road B0.4 crosses the Section line be- tween Sections 26 and 35, Township 32 South, Tie 39 East, thence East on the above line to the Indian River lir miles, more or Less, having made their report, and the same having been accepted by this Board; it is there- fore ordered that a road fifty feet wide beginning at the intersection of the Section Line between Sections 25 and 36,° Township 32 South, _Range 39 Beat, and State Rei 1oa.4, thence East along said Section Line to the shore of the Indian River, the line described being the center Line of said road, be and the same is hereby designated and declared as a public road we Indian River County, Florida, and shall be opened as such after thirty days notice shall have been given as provided by Law. Florida Auto - Tel System, Incorporated. and St. Lucie County Pair Association presented Deeds to - Tract no of Northwood, a subdivision of Vero Beath, Florida, according to plat recorded on page 64 of Plat Book 1, in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian River County, Florida. Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 23, 24 25, 26, 2? and 39 of Block One, of Paircourt, Vero Beach, Florida, according to plat thereof filed in the Office of the Cleit of the Circuit Court, Indian River Canty, Florida, in Plat Book at page respectively, for use. as Court House Site. After viewing this and other property previously offered, and, considering a proposition made by the City of Vero Beach through Alex Mae Williams, a member of the City Council. for the City to erect a building and date to the Cony for use of both the City end County, It was ordered the matter be taken under consideration until the meting in April„ 1826. The County Engineer was instructed to move the Speeder Crane to Orchid to work for A. B.
