The Clerk was instructed to ascertain the Company next in line for gas and oil business
and so advise their Agent.
The several bills and accounta against the County, having been audited were examined and
found.correct, were approved and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. Such bills
and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk Circuit Court. The warrants so issued
from the respective funds being listed in the supplemental minute book as provided by the rules
of the State Auditor, reference to such record and the list so recorded being made a part of
these minutes.
The County Depository filed its monthly statement, showing receipts and disbursements of
the various funds which having been audited was found to be correct.

VACATING BOYLE ROAD OF EAST VIEW COMPANY*S PROPERTY.
On motion -made by Frank C. Vickers, -seconded by Albert 0. Helseth and carried the
following resolution was adopted.
WHEREAS, St..Luoie County, Florida, did prior to June 17, 19249 occupy and own a
portion of Sub -lots 32 and 33 -.in Subdivision number.l of East View Company as per plat thereof
recorded in Plat Book:4..at page.l., records of St.,Luoie.County, Florida, and as said Subdivisi
number l was exhibited as a part of plat recorded in Plat Book.4 at page 31, records of.St.
Lucie County, Florida, and prior to dune 17, 1924' said property was used for public road pur-
poses; and E
WHEREAS, under date of --dune 17, .1924, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida, did officially vacate certain highways, including all public highways and
roads over or traversing property.situated in what was then -St. Lucie County and is now Indian
River County, Florida, to -wit:
All that part of Lots 32..and 33 is Blook l lying East of the public road as shown on
plats of Riomar Subdivision as.filed and recorded in Plat Book 2 at pages 18 and 27 of the re-
cords of Indian River County, Florida, and being now_,designated on.said.plats of Riomar Sub-
division as Lot 33 in Block 1 thereof.
A portion of said property having been heretofore owned and occupied by St � Luoier Countyi Florid!at
and used for public highway purposes and other provisions in-.saoh_eraa..havivg been made for pub-
lic highway purposes as the same is now shown on said plats of Riomar Subdivision and St. Lucie
County, Florida, having under date of June 17, 1924, vacated all public roads and highways sit

WHEREAS, Indian River County did succeed to.all rights and assets.of St. Lucie Coun
by legislative enactment which created .Indian River County, and other provisions for public
highways and roads having.been provided.to.Indian River County in the area above described and
the location of such roads and highways.in such area having been changed; and
HEREAS,. William C. -Boyle. -otherwise -known as W. C. Boyle, did own or did acquire
wome property adjacent to the public highways heretofore traversing the specific property here.
inabove described; and
WHEREAS, the said William C. Boyle is now dead and his sole heir at law is Kneila R.
Bolger and the said William C. Boyle and associates have heretofore provided new right -or -way
for public roads in said area and which new right-of-way is now used and said former right-of-
way not having been used for many years and having since the vacating thereof been occupied as
to the particular area hereinbefore described by the said William C. Boyle and subsequent to
his death by the said Kneila R. Bolger; therefore,
BE IT .RESOLVED That the Board and. Clerk of this Board be and they are herewith au-
thorized and directed to execute and deliver to the said Kneila R. Bolger a quitclaim deed in
the name -of and on behalf of Indian River County, Florida, conveying to her the property here-
inabove.speoifically described and to acknowledge and sign in the name of the County and seal
with the County seal..and the seal of this Board the said instrument.

It was ordered that -a warrant be._drawn.on the General Revenue Fund in the sum of
$50.00 payable to the Treasure of U. S. 0t for the purpose of'providing recreation for U. S.
Troops.
It was moved by Albert 0.-Helseth, seconded by S. E. Glover and unanimously carried
that an item in the .sum. of $3.00.00 be, included, in. the 194:1A-4942. Budget for. State. Welfare Work.
At the request of B.. _L.._201man the Board granted -the use of the County Tractor and
Grader for the purpose.of preparing,a road grade from U. S. #1 into the Air Port grounds,
.provided the City of Vero Beach would furnish fuel and pay for the labor.
Hon. George T. Tippin appeared before the Board and requested the sum of $200.00
be placed in the 1941-1942 Budget for the purpose of County fair exhibits to be held at Tampa
and Orlando. No action was taken by the Board at this time.
City Councilman C. E. Cox, in behalf of the City -of Vero Beach and Indian River
County appeared before the Board requesting an appropriation in the sum of $250.00 to $400.00
be placed in the 1941-1942 Budget for the purpose of assisting financially in the preparation
and construction of the plifiposed Athletic Center. No action was taken at this time, however,
Jr.
a committee composed of C. S. Michael,. W. 8% Graves/ id Albert 0. Helseth was appointed to
meei with the City Council at a meeting to be held on July 24 for -further discussion in the
matter and also for consideration and discussion as-to.tuture .City and County Welfare appro-
priations.
It was moved by Frank C..Vickers.-seconded.by Albert 0. Helseth and carried and
Attorney Mitchell instructed to prepare notice of sale of bonds aggregating $20,000.00 which
were accepted in payment of delinquent taxes. Proposals to be received to the hour of 10:00
O'clock A. M. Tuesday August 5, 19419 at the office of the -Clerk of the Circuit Court.
Complying with Chapter 19377 (No. 382) Senate Bill 771 it was moved by Frank C.
�- Vickers, seconded by S. E. Glover and unanimously carried that -the Board appoint M. H. Mo-
Bachron, Fellsmere, as County Enumerator. The following qualifying blank was executed by Mr.
MoEaohron and . forwarded to Ron. Nathan -'Mayo, Commissioner of 91gri,oulture, Tallahassee, Florida.

On motion made by Frank C. Vickers, seconded by Albert O..Helseth and carried the
Vero Beach Press Journal, published at Vero Beach, Florida, was designated as the paper in whit
the Laws of the Regular Session of Legislature are to be published, also to publish list of
delinquent lands, delinquent tangible and intangible personal property tax lists and all other
legal publications and advertisements. This being done in compliance *ith Section 26 of Chapte
20723 and Seatinn 20 of Chapter 20724.
B. B. Carter, County Engineer, was authorized to purchase an Acetylene Welding out-
fit from L. M. Nevaan for the approximate sum of $50.00, also a grinder and drill, said pur-
chase. to be made for the Road and Bridge District.
The Board authorized the sale of a used dump truck body to Chairman Michael for the
sum of $10.00.

'WHEREAS, the _City of -Vero .Beach •inIndian River County, Florida, has acquired and
property situated in Indian River County, Florida, described as follows, to -wit:
All that part of the-NWJ of the NWJ of Section 12, Township 33'South, Range 39 Bast
which lies east of Dixie Avenue and south.of Fifteenth,Ztreet and west -of the F. L. C. Ry.
right of way. The streets being as shown on Higb-land Park Subdivision Plat No. 3 as recorded on
3-24-270 page 4 of Plat Book 2.
ALSO; Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot. -15, Block 20.as shown on Highland Park
Subdivision ,plat No. 1. run westerly along the south line of Lot 15 and continue along the
line of 15th Street as shown on Highland Park Plat No.3. 345 feet to the vast line of Seminole

On motion made by Albert 0. Helseth, seconded by S. Z. Glover and carried the Board
instructed Attorney Mitchell to file a return in.the.cose-of Larrsen Piling Corporation versus
Sebastian Inlet District that this Board is prepared to extend the levy according to law, pro-
vided the.Court orders a decrease levy in millege in proportion to lackease An. assessed value -
tion.
-On motion made by Albert.0. Helseth, seconded by Frank C. Vickers and carried, the
Board agreed to furnish cost of -transportation for 14 C.C.C.-boys-from Vero Beach to Kendall,
Florida.
The Rome Demonstration Agent proposal was again discussed but no action was taken.

The several bills and accounts. against the County, having been audited were examined
and found correct, were approved and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. Such bills
and accounts being on.file in the:offioe of the Clerk Circuit Court. The warrants so issued
from the respective=funds being listed in the Supplemental minute book as provided -by the rules
of the State Auditor, reference to such record and the list so recorded being made a part of
these 'minutes.
The County Depository filed its monthly statement, showing reaetpts and disbur
of the various funds which having been audit6d was found to be correct.
There being no further business, on motion made, seconded and carried the Board then
adjourned until the regular meeting to be held in duly, which will be the first Monday in July
as provided by Law.ft
