AUGUST 28, 194, 1 The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met in`the office of the Clerk of the. Cirouit Court at .Vero Beach, in the County of Indian River, on this the. 28th, day of August, 1941, and the following County Commissioners were present; C. S. Michael, Chairman; S. E. Glover, Albert 0. Relseth, Id. C. Graves, d'r,.. and Frank C. - Viokers. Also present were Wm. W. Frick, Sheriff, Charles -A. Mitchell, Attorney to the Boa rd and Douglas Baker, Clerk. The Clerk of the Circuit Court having prepared estimates of the revenue and receipts from sources other then from taxes to be levied., reasonably to be expected from the first day of October 1941 to the 30th day of September 3942, the said estimates having been properly .verified under oath were- ordered spread upon the minutes of the Board and the original .to be filed as part. of the. records of the Board, and is in words and figures as follows:. Graves, dr,.introduoed the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESU TUTION WHEREAS, the County Assessor. of taxes of..Indian River County did, prior to this date, complete the assessment rdll of said .Indian River, County ,for . the year 1941 and did on this August 28, 1941, meet with the .Board of County Commissioners .of Indian River County at the of- fice of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of said County for the purpose of hearing complaints and receiving testimony as to the value.of any property, real or personal, as fixed by the County Assessor of Taxes and of perfecting, reviewing and equalizing said assessment roll; and WHEREAS, due notice of this meeting for said purpose has been given by publication in the Fero Beach Press -Journal, a newspaper published in Indian River County, Florida, and.which notice was so published in said newspaper in its issues of August Sth, and 15th, 1941 and the first publication of said notice being at least fifteen days before this meeting; and WHEREAS, -this Board has met on August 25th, 26th, 27th and 60 -this 28th day of August 1941, pursuant to such notice and for the purposes aforesaid, and has considered said assessment roll, and has found it unnecessary to increase the value fixed by the County Assessor of Taxes of any real estate or personal property as shown on said roll; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida do hereby approve and confirm said tau assessment roll of said Coufty for the year 1941, sub je to the -Law Ind of the approval of Ron. J. M. Lee, Comptroller, --as presented by the County Ass- essor of Taxes and do hereby declare said assessment roll and the assessments shown thereon to have been reviewed and to be equalized, perfected and jest. 1 1 1 1 1 1 f Resolution was duly, seconded by S.. E. Glover, and upon being put to a vote the same was unanimously adopted. - - - - - - It was moved by W. C. Graves, -Jr, seconded -by Albert 0. Halseth and unanimously carr- ied that the County purchase a motor patrol and other equipment for the Road and Bridge Depart- ment of Indian River .County. The Board�of.County Commissioners of Indian River County -met at the Court House in Vero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock A. M, Tuesday, September 2, 1941, in regular meeting*with the following members of.the Board present: C. S. Michael, Chairman; S. 'Be Glover, Albert 0. Hel- seth, W, C. Graves.4r., and. Frank C.. Vickers. -Also present ,were Wm. W. Frick, ,Sheriff, Charles A. Mithcell, Attorney for the Board, and Douglas Baker, Clerk. The tax books being reedy to be returned to the Tax Assessor for the purpose of ex- tending the taxes thereon as provided by law the -Board of County Commissioners took up the matter of making an -estimate of the necessary expenses for the fiscal year from ©ctober 1st, 1941 to the 30th day of September, 1942, and having considered the receipts estimated by the Clerk and the Tax Assessor having given full consideration to the needs and necessities of the County and the requirements for the different purposes to meet the expenses during the said fiscal year, have determined and do hereby declare -the following to be the expenses and all special and extraordinary expenses contemplated for the fiscal year next ensuing and for which the revenue for the year 1941 from ad valorem taxation and the estimated receipts from other sources will be available.. 100 40:411M,14_110041143 1 i 211.
