1 L7 1 573 than River County, being the governing body of such county, and the -mayor of the City of Vero Beach, as the executive head of the City in which such hospital is situated., be authorized and directed to Officially present this situation to the proper officials and to inform such offic- ials of the willingness of the officials of this area to furnish any and all information desir- ed in arriving at a final determination of the request contained in this resolution. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That this situation and request be respectfully called to the Attention of the Porper officials of the Navy Department with the thought that the same will prsent a matter for reasonable consideration and that the same is not presented with the inten- tion of evidencing a lack of cooperation or a selfishness on the part of the affected area but in full recognition of the fact that the citizens of the affected area will recognize that the decision finally reached is based upon a knowledge of the national requirements in the presant emergency and as such all citizens of the area will cheerfully receive such decision and regard less of whether it may recognize a need for Mrs. Radin to remain in this area or will recognize a need that her services be made available elsewhere. The resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner 8elseth, and upon being put to a vo the same was unanimously adopted. There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board then adjourned. Monday, March 9th, 1942 in special meeting with the following members of the Board present; C. S. Michael*, Chairman, S. E. Glover, Albert 0. Helseth, Frank C. Vickers and W. C. Graves Jr. Also present were Charles A. Mitchell, Attorney to the Board, and Douglas Baker, Clerk. The chairman announced this meeting was called for the purpose of making levies a- gainst the verious candidates who' part io ipate'. in the Democratic Primary election to be held Tuesday, May 5th, 1942. Graves, Jr. Also present were 'Wm. W. Frick, Sheriff, Chas. A. Mitchell, Attorney for the Board, Miss Leila M. Bunkley, County Nurse, E. E. Carter, Road Superintendent, Mr. W. 0. Gentry, State Auditor, and Douglas Baker, Clerk. The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. The Clerk advised that $37.00 in qualifying fees of candidates in the primary elect- ion to be held May 5th had been reeeived and placed in the General Revenue Fund.
