The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met at the Court House in
Vero Beach, at 6:30 P. M. Tuesday, July 21, 19429 in special -meeting with"the following mem-
bers of the Board present; C. S. Michael, Chairman; S. E. Glover; Albert 0. Helseth and W. C.
Graves, Jr. Absent: Frank C. 'Vickers. Also present were Charles A.- Mitbhell, Attorney for
the Board, Wm. W. Frick, Sheriff, and Douglas Baker, Clerk.
Chairman Michael announced that this meeting was called for the purpose of consider-
ing the establishment of a venereal disease control program in Indian River County.,
Local Doctors presents were McClellan, Kollar and -Harrell. Also present was Miss
Leila - M. Bunkley, County Nurse.
Dr. J. L. Hundley, Assistant Director, Venereal Disease Control Program, State
Board of Health and U. S. Public Service, together with E. S. Osborne Jr. Assistant Director,
Bureau of Local Health Service, State Board of Health, Jacksonville, were present and out-
lined a program heretofore mentioned, as follows to -wit:

It is agreed by all contracting parties that no personnel will be employed who does not meet wi.
the minimal requirements laid down by the United States Public Health Service, and that no per-
sonnel will be employed who does not meet with the approval of the County Medical Society and
the State Board of Bealth, and no program will be inaugurated which does not meet with the
approval of the County.Medical Society and the State Board of Health.

It was pointed out that the above program would cost the County a sum not to exceed
$300.00, in view of the�fact that a credit of $900.00 would be given the County because of

the present County Nurse.
After careful consideration, it was moved by W. C. Graves, Jr. seconded by S. E.
Glover and unanimously carried that the above outlin4ed program be accepted.
There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried, the Board then
