Mitchell, Attorney for the Board, and Douglas Baker, Clerk. ---The tax books being ready to be returned t® the Tag Assessor for the purpose of ex- tending the taxes thereon as provded by the law the Board of County Comissioners took up the matter of making an estimate of the necessary expenses for the fiscal year from October lot, 1943 to the 30th day,of September, 1944, and having ooa sidered the receipts estimated by t Cleric and the Tax Assessor having given full oonsideration to the needs and necessities of the County and the requirements for the different purposes to meet the expenses during the said fiscal year, have determined and do hereby declare thefollowingto be the expenses and all special and extraordinary expenses contemplated: for the fiscal year next ensuing and for whish the revenue for the year 1943 from ad valorem taxation and the estimated receipts from other sources will be available. t ENRM REiiE.M. Clinic building r Application of Frank Buckles, Sebastian (Har4ee*s Bar) for a license to sell in- tozioating liquiors, Mines and beer was received and after carefully considering the same, on motion made, seconded and . carried the she was approved. Douglas Balser, Clerk was instructed to obtain information as to what insurance, if any, • was provided . by they iud,ian River Citrus Bank on the oontentss . of securities and other valuable papers under the jurisdiction of the Clerk and Board of County Commissioners and if there be no insurance at.this time, that the Clerk be instructed to -obtain insurance as re- quired under the recent acts of the 1943 Legislature. Douglas Baker, Cleric, pounced to the Board that he . had,.-reoeiVed a warrant from Ron. Z. Edwin Larson, State Treasurer, in the amount of $3,849.92 representing proceeds of sale of securities owned in, part -.by lndien; River €county. The securities sold were City of Lake Worth refunding bonds, series A, with a par value of $10,000. The originalof these bonds werepart of the colateral furnished by Vero Beach Bank -and gust Company and taken over by the Board of Administration. These original bands were exchanged for refunding bonds which bore interest at the rate of two to five per cent. The fends secured by this collateral were owned 55% by Indian River County Road and Bridge Bond Interest & Sinking Fund Account,, 1% by General Revenue Fund, 10% by Road &, Bridge Maintenance Fund and 34% by -Speoial Road. and Bridge District #4 Bond Fund (State Auditors report #1366'. The amount of $3849.92 was credited as follows.* General Revenue Fund $ 85.56 Road & Bridge Fund 855.54 Special, Road & ,Bridge Dist.#4 Maintenance Fund 20908.82 See letter of dune 15v 1943 from Ron. d. Hel.seth and carried the Vera Beaoh Dress Journal, published at Vero Beach, Florida, was designated as the paper in which the Laws of the Regular Session of Legidl.ature are to be published, also to publish list of dsliuqueut lands, delinquent tangible and intangible Personal property tax lists and all anther legal publications and advertiomesats. This being done in compliance with Section. 26 of Chapter 20723 and Section 20 of Chapter 20724. Douglas Baker, Clerk, was►, i.nstruoted to advise U. S. Gover=ent authorities in dack- sonville that the Board of County Commissioners have no objection to the Treustees of the In- ternal Inprcrvenent Fund entering intoan agreement vsd,th the U. Vickers and unanimously carried it was ordered Douglas Baker, Clerk, be paid :the sum of $150.00 from the General Revenue Fund and that ®tis M. Cobb, County Judge, be paid the sum of $150.00 from the Fine and Forfeiture Fund, representing additional compensation for services rendered from January 1, 1943 to July 1, 1943• It was further ordered, on motion made by Commissioner Helseth, seoomded by Comniss' ioner Barkoskie and, unanimously carried that Douglas Baker be paid the sum of $158.00 per month from the General Revenue Fund as salary for Clerk to the.
