The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met in the Office of the Clerk of
9 the Circuit Court at Vero Beach, in the County of Indian River, on this the 3rd day of Zuly,
1944,. and the following County Commissioners were present: W* C. Graves, -,Tr., Chairman; S. 3.
Mover, Albert 0. Relseth and Frank C. Vickers. Absent: G. B. Berkoskie. Also present were
NA. W. Frick, Sheriff, Charles A. Mitchell, Attorney to the 'Board, bodglas Baker, Clerk and 'B.

The County .assessor of taxes submitted the, County tax assessment roll for the year 1944,
to the.Board of County Commissioners sitting as a Hoard of Equalization and which roll hs# 'thee,
approval of the State Comptroller endorsed thereon, The following persons appeared before the
Board,and made complaint as to the value of real estate owned by them and as Fined upon such
assessment roll and each was duly heard, to -wit:, Edward -W.. Taoocks, Robert B. Lease, William.
E. Parker and E. W. Thompson and Thad.E. Carlton and T. B. Ellis, attorneys representing Cdr,
Thompson. No other complaints were filed before the Board, either in person or writing.
The Board then conferred with the County Tax Assessor with reference to such complaints
and discussed the same at length.
The Board then adjourned it3session as an Equalization Board to the hour of 10:40 o'clock
A. M.1 t'uly/1944, and for the purpose of giving further attention to Such assessment roll at
such regular Hoard meeting of July 6, 1944.
