The Boare of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at
the Court house in Vero Beach at 2 o'clock Uednesday, October 20th, 1926, pursuant
to adjournment of October lith 1926 with the following members of the Boa.ni present:
John H Atkin, Chairman; G.A.Braddock; J.W.LaBruce; Donald. Forbes and 0.0.Helseth.
The Notary Public bond of E.W.Vickers, in the sum of 4ii500.00 with the American
:surety Company, a corporation, of New York as surety was approved..
In compliance with Section 256 of the Revised Statutes the following petition was
considered and the names ordered printed on the General Election ballot to -wit: -

and ordered that same be published for two weekly issues of a newspaper, and that this
Board meet on Saturday October 30th, 1926 at 2 o'clock P.M.to receive complaints from any
person erroneously erased from such registration books and to restore any and all names
so erroneennly erased therefrom.
The Count Tax Assessor announced he had completed the assessment roll and the three
books required to be made up, extending the taxes opposite each tract of land assessed
as well as the personal property agsessed against the various individuals and corporations,
which books were accepted and the following warrant annexed to each roll, to -wit:

Tax Collector of the County of Indian River.
You are hereby commanded to collect out of the real estate and. -personal paoperty,a d
from each of the persons and corporations named in the annexed .roll, the taxes set down
in each roll opposite each name, corporation or parcel of land therein described, and. in
mak cataxes so imposed are not paid at the time prescribed by law, you are to eollec

the same by levy and sale of the goods and chattels, lands and tenements so assessed,
zxxzt or of the person or cozpo ration so azaszsaat taxed; And all sums collected for the
State taxes you are to pay to the State Treasurer, at such time as may be required
by law, and at the same time you are to pay to the legally qualified depository all
sums collected for County taxes, District School taxes, and other special taxes; and
you axe further required to make all collections on or before the first Monday in
April; and on or before the first Monday in July you will make a final report to and
settlement with the Comptroller and County Commissioners.

It was ordered that the Clerk and Chairman of this Board be authorized and directed
to draw warrants from the Road & BrI dge Fund of the County fornsuch damages and costs
as may be awarded defendants in the Condemnation suits which will be heard in Circuit
Court on October 27th 1926.
There being no fir the r business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board
adjourned until October 30th, 1926.

The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at
the Court House inVero Beach, Florida, on Saturday, October 30th 1926 at 2 o'clock P.M.
with the following members of the Board present: John H.Atkin, Chairman, G.A.Braddock;
V...LaBruce; Donald Forbes and O.O.Helseth. Also present was Miles Warren, Clerk.
It was ordered that Mr.Thompson be permitted to use the Quay dock -house and keep
it in good condition and repair, with the understanding he would remove therefrom Immed-
iately upon proper notice.
No objection being received as to the names stricken from the registration books
at the meeting held on October 20th 1926, and due notice having been given as required
by law, it was ordered that such names as listed be stricken from the registration
books for the reason stated opposite each name.
There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board
adjourned until the regular meeting to be held Tuesday, November 2, 1926.
