The severals bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were examined,
and found correct, were approved and warrants issued in settlement of same. Such bills and
aoeounts being on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, the warrants so issued.
°from the respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute Book, as provided by the rules',
of the State Auditor, reference to such record and list so recorded being madea part of these
(minutes.
The County Depository filed its monthly statement, showing receipt and disbursements
,of the various fuads,'which having been audited were found to be correct.
There being no further business or motion made, seconded, and unanimous y -carried,
jthe Board then adjourned.

The Board of County Commissioners of Indian -River County met at the Court House in
Vero Beach, Florida, at 10:000o'clock, A. U., Tuesday, June 4, 1946, in regular meeting with
the following members of the Board present: W. C. Graves, Jr., Chairman, Frank C. Vickers,
;Albert 0. Helseth and S. E: ---glover. Absent R. W. Graves. Also present were L. B. X18 een,Sher-
iff; E. E. Carter, County Engineer; Charles A. Mitchell, Attorney; and Douglas Baker, Clerk.
The minutes of -the previous meeting were read and approved.
Mrs. Carl Hilliard and Joe Padgett appeared before the Board with regard to obtaining
assistance for ,the welfard of their families.
County Nurse.
These matters were referred to Alice Helleso,

jly carried, it was ordered that Belle I.,.Cbdy, Fero Beach, Florida, receive the sum of $75.00
l�a,.,month for the care of CArrie Fergasson same to be paid from the General Revenue Fund until the;
11further orders of the Board.
?! The Board signed 06unty Deeds numbers 213 to 224, inclusive, as provided by Chapter
194, Florida Statutes 1941.
.E. E. Carter, County Engineer, was instructed to obtain estimates as to the cost of
lair -conditioning the Court room and the Jury Room; also to obtain estimates on air-conditioning
!''the entire Gourt House.
It was ordered the election officials for the second primary be paid the sum of $8.06.
'per day plus $2.00 -for those returning the ballot boxes plus 50 per mile; further that the
;,;Deputy Sheriffbt conducting said election to receive the sum of $3.00 per day_; further that the
!owners of the buildings where the elections were conducted to receive the sum of $340 per day

for rental.
Verdict of coroner's jury in the matter of the inquest on the body of Hugh D. Keffer
was received and ordered filed by the Clerk.
The following letter was received by Sheriff L. % O'Steen revoking the appointment of
