Thereupon Commissioner S. E. i ';Glover introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption to -wit: WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has made and completed the estimate of its necessary and ordinary expenses and of all special and extraordinary expenditures contem- plated, as required by law, and has duly advertised the same as required by law and this being the first meeting of said Board of County Commissioners subsequent to the advertising of the same and said budget being now before this Board for final consideration and adoption and ha been duly considered; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that the said County Commissioner's bmdget and estimate of expenses and expenditures for the year 1947-1948 as heretofore prepared and duly advertised and it is N herewith ratified, confirmed, and finally adopted by this Board. 'I Motion for the adoption for the Resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Albert 0. Helseth and unanimously adopted. The Board then proceeded with the matter of fixing the rate of taxation for Indian River county for the year 1947 and:, after careful consideration of the estimated receipts and expenditures' the following resolution was introduced by Commissioner S. E. Helseth,,tho moved, its adoption, to=wit: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 2rate of Taxation necessary to meet the expenditures of the Board of County Commissioners of Indlan River County, Florida, for the fiscal year 1947- 1948 pursuant to the budget of said Board as heretofore published, amended and approved, is as l r hereinafter levied and that the tax rate as hereinafter shown and set forth, be and it is here- by levied on all taxable property in Indian River `ounty, Florida, for the*,year 1947, with the �c rate hereinafter set out, to -wit: In order to meet the estimated current expenses of the County of Indian River of the sum of $61,385.52, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of two (21) tills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby imposed upon all of the property lying and being in the County of Indian River on the first day of January 19479 for the GENERAL REVENUE FUND, to meet the current expenses of the County and to provide for the a xpendttures as estimated in the budget hereinbefore set forth. To cover the amount of the estimated expenses for keeping the County Roads in good shape and for the construction and repairing of bridges and other necessary expenses to keep the roads of the County in good condition and provide other roads when necessary of$76,918.26, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of four and six -tenths (4.6) mills upon the dollar�be levied,,assessed and is hereby imposed upon all of the property 1y ug and being in the County of Indian River on the first day of January, 194!, to meet the current expenses of the County as estimated in the budget for the ROAD & BRIDGE FUND.
