Glover introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption as follows, to -wits AAj, LUTz oN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, ex -officio Trustees of Quay Bridge District, owns a residence building situated on the East Bridgehead of the Winter Beach Bridgesi and which building is being no longer used for public purposes and is rapidly deteriorating in j. value; and said Board having publicly invited bids for the purchase of said building, as per proof of publication filed upon the Minutes of this Board, and having received a bid of i $691.00 for said building from N. B. Eve and it being the highest and best bid offered; there- If ,, f ore' BE IT RESOLVED that this Board sells said building to -.,the said N. B. Eve for the sum { of $601.00 cash and that it leases the part of said Bridgehead situated South of the public road traversing the same to the said N. B. Eve for one year for the sum of $7.00 and to be represented by tease drawn by the attorney to this Board. P)rsuant to Resolution No. 397 adopted by the City of Vero Beach on October 9, 1947. Commissioner Helseth offered the following resolution and moved its adoption '.as follows to -wit: WHEREASn by Resolution heretofore adopted by the City Council of the City of Vero Beach, under date of September 27, 1944, as to all of the parcels of property hereinafter des- cribed, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County' Floridan pursuant to the provision of Chapter 220799 haws of Florida, did dedicate to public use and purposes by the City of Vero Beach, Florida, all of the parcels of property hereinafter described, and by Resolution of said Board adopted October 3, 19449 and appearing in County Commissioners" li Minute Book 3 at page 1509 as to all of the parcels of property hereinafter described; ands + WHEREAS, the City of Vero Beach, Floridan has delivered to this Board of County Com* ' missioners of Indian River County, Florida, a duly certified copy of Resolution adopted by the 4' f City Council of said City under date of October 9, 1947, reciting that said City has no pre- sent or prospective usefor public purposes of the parcels of property hereinafter described, and releasing all claim of said City thereto, and requesting and Authorizing that this Board revoke its dedication of said parcels of property herewith described for public use and pur- poses, and to thereupon handle and dispose thereof as provided by said Chapter 22079; there - f ore, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River CountysFloridan I does hereby revoke its dedication for public use and purposes of the parcels of property here -II inafter described, and does herewith instruct the Clerk of this Board and the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian River County, Florida, to cause his records to show accordingly,and to cause said parcels of property to be made available for sale as provided by said Chapter 22079 of the Laws of Florida, and to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Tax Assessor of Indian River County and to the Tax Assessor of the City of Vero Beach, Florid a. On motion made by Commissioner Vickers, seconded by Commissioner Glover, and unan- imously carried, Douglas Baker, Clerk, was instructed to issue a warrant on the General Revenue 1:Fund to Thad Carleton, Treasurer, Florida Flood Control committee to be used in connedtion with,;, I the Florida flood control pro j ectl --ire the sum of $250.00. W. C. Graves,.Jr. and E. E. Carter were selected as a committee to represent this Board to work with the several drainage districts within Indian River County for the purpose of ' Imaking plans and constructing as soon as possible roads around the entire dikes of the drainage I n districts in Indian River County. On motion made by Commissioner Glover, seconded by Commissioner Vickers and unani- pmously carried the Board authorized the purchase of the following described land for public dumping purposes: E 15 A of tract 119 Sec. 28, Twp. 32, Rge. 39' for the Vero BeachrGifford i area; and E of NW*of SWC, Sec. 10, Twp. 32, Rge. 39 for the Winter Beach area. �I Application to transfer beverage license No. 29 from Cora A. Hirtzel to 0. H. Beach ��(Begnhls Tavern) north -Dixie highway, Vero Beach, Florida, was approved. Application to transfer beverage license No.'41 from Alex MacWilliam (Club Bloc) to • 'Harry Roberts (The Tropics) on the beach, Vero Beach, Florida, was approved. s Maude -Lambert, County Nurse, appeared before the Board and made a report of her actiL vities for the month of October. Said report was received and ordered filed with the Clerk. p 1J. A. Boudet, County agent, filed a report of his activities for the month of October. jaSaid report was received and ordered filed with the Clerk. ii The several bills and accouhts against the County, having been audited, were examined ,'and found correct, were approved and warrants issued in settlement of same. Such bills and ac- a i ;counts being on file in -the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, the Warrants se issued from the respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute Book, as provided by the �Jrules of the State Auditor, reference to such record and the list so recorded being made a 'part of these minutes. The County Depository filed its monthly statement, showing receipts and disbursements �;of the various funds, which having been audited were found to be correct. i There being no further business on motion, made, seconded and carried, the Board then adjourned.
