HomeMy WebLinkAbout1/14/1927The several County Depositories filed their monthly statements, showing balance on hand, receipts, disbursements and balance on hand at the close of December 19269 which, having been audited, were found to be correct. The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were examined and approved, and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. The said bills and voucher~ being on file in the Clerk's office and made a part of these minutes. At a -Speda meeting of tti a Board of County Commissioners, called by the Chair- man,thr-d.s Board met at 2 o'clock P.M.Friday, January 14th 1926, at the Court House in Vero Bench, Florida with the following members of the Board presents John H.Atkin, Chairman; G.A.Braddock;.-J.J.P.Hamilton ad O.O.Helseth. Also present was Miles Warren, Clerk. The Chairman announced the purpose of the meeting was to adopt a resolution res- pecting the condemnation of. certain land for right-of-way for State Road No. 4 South of Vero Beach and for such other matters as may properly come before the Board at this time. The Deputy 'Sheriff bond of William Frick, in the gum of $19000.00 with William Atkin end Nellie M. Babb, as sweties was approved. The Deputy Sheriff bond of Frank Thompson, in the sum of $19000.00 with B.Arnold and Miles McNece, as sureties was approved. The following resolution was introduced by Commissioner J.J.P Hamilton$ HEREAS, the State Road Department of the `State of Florida, has requested the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, to secure a right -of -w sixty-six (66) feet in width for the location of State Road No'.49 Project 691 through Indian River County,9 and HEREAT, th right-of-way fa said .State Road has been surveyed and located by the State Road Department in said County ,of Indian River, and WHEREAS, the State Road Department has advised the Board of Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that Darr & Faunce, Incorporated, through whose lands sai< road has been surveyed and located by the State Road Department, has failed and refused to execute and deliver a conveyance of said right-of-way to the State Road Department, or to the County of Indian River, for the location of said mad, and WMMS, the State Road Department of the State of Florida has requested the 'Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, to oondemn all nese lands for the purpose of securing rights -of -was for said State Road; therefore, BE IT RSILVED, that condemnation proceedings shall be'brought and maintained in the name of the County Commissioners of Indian River County,, F orida, agai no t said Dago & Finance, Incorporated, and all other pasties having any claim in the following described right-ofway for ;State Road No. 4 Project 691, to -wits 1 1 1 1 1 107 i A tract of lard 66 feet in width the center line of which is the center line of --State Road No. 49 Project691, and begins at a point 827 feet Last of the North-west corner of the South half of the South-west quarter of the Forth -east quarter of section 31, Township 33 South, Range 40 Nast, thence South 19 degrees 8 minutes Bast to a point 412 feet West and 440 feet North of the South-east corner of the south-west quarter of the North-east quarter of said section, Township and Range. Said point befzg 3.194 feet South and 183.7 feet Bast of -tbe North-west corner of the North-east quarter of the South-east quarter of Section 31, Township 33 South, Rage 40 Bast. ALSO a tract of land 96 feet in width Ike center line of which is the center line of State Road No. 4, pwjeet 691, and begins at a point 1194 feet South and 183.7 feet Bast of the North, -west corner of the North. -east quarter of the South-east quarter of Section 319 Tovinship 33 South, Range 40 mast thence South 19 degrees 8 minutes Bast 650 feet to a point, thence on an eleven degree curve to the right 426.8 feet to a point. Thense `South 27 degrees 52 minutes west 373.8 feet to a pointnin the North line of the South 100 feet of the South quarter of Section 31, Township 33 South, Range 40 Bast, said point being 1082 feet west aid 100- feet North of the South-east corner ct the South quarter of Section 31, Township 33 South, Range 40 East. BE IT FURTHER 18 OLVED9 that the attorngr for this Board be, and he is hereby, nstrated and empowered to immediately proceed to institute and prosecute said suit. We, the undersigned Committee app inted by Honorable Body on the 4th day of January 1927 with instructions to view and mark out the best route for a Public road, described in the petition as followe,to-wit: A point 1772.4 feet Wiest and 735.5 feet Forth of Government Lot 1, Township 32 South Range 39 Bast; thence North-westerly to a point 400 feet Vest of the inner shore line of the Atlantic Ocean on the Township line between Townships 31 and 32 South, Range 39 Last; them, a North-westerly and parallel with the shore of the Atlantic Ocean on the Tomship line between Townships 30 and 31 South, Range 39 Bast. The center line of this road through Township 31 South Rainge 39 Bast not Am to be less than 400 feet from the inner shore line of the Atlantic Oceans beg leave to report to your honors as follows: That we, after fist having subscribed to the oath required by law before entering on our dties make this our general report: That we proceeded to the said proposed location of the said public road -upon the 4th day of January 19279 and viewed and corked out the following as the best route for said proposed road. ( Sad road is to be 100 feet wide) A point 1772.4 feet Bast and 735.5 feet North of S.E.Croner of Government Lot 10 Section 1 Township 32 South, Range 39 Bast thence North-westerly to a point appraimately 400 feet West of the Inner shore line of the Atlantic Ocean 0 on the Tomehip line -between. townships 31 and 32 South, Range 39 East; thence North- west erly and parallel with the shore, of the Atlantic Ocean to a point approximately 400 feet West of the inner shore lin of the Atlantic Ocean on the Township lines between Townships 30 and 31 Soulh, Range 39 Bast. We, the undersigned Committee appointed by Honorable Body on the 4th day of January 19270 with ins tru ct ions to view and mark out the best route for a public road, described in the petition as follows, to -wit: The intersection of State Road No. 4 and the County road in Government 144, 3 Section 25, Township 30 South, Range 38 East. Thence outh 45 degrees vest to Borth - End of Nichols Avenue as shown on plat of Roseland as filed on page 43 of Plat Book 1 of the public records of �St Lucie County, Florida, beg leave to report to your honors as follows: That `we, after first having subscribed to the oath required by law before entering on our duties, make this our general reports That we proceeded to the ,said proposed location of the said public road upon the 4th day of January 1927, and viewed and marked out the following as the bestroute for said proposed road.(said road is to be feet wde): Begin at the North end of Hirhols Avenue as shown on the plat of Roseland as filed on page 43 of the P1atBook 1 of the public Records of St -Lucie County, Florida; thence Borth 46 degrees 0 minutes East429.8 feet to a point, then e a 2 degree evve to the left 178.4 to a point, thence North 42 degrees 4075 feetmore or less to the West right-of-way line of State Road No. 4 in Government Lot 3,8ection 25 Twp. -30 South Range 38 East.
