The several bills and accounts Against the Co=ty,, having been-auditedl were ex-
amined and found correct, were approved and garrants.issued in settlement of same. Such
bills and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Cou.rtq the
Warrants so issued from the respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute Booko
as prow oed by the rales of the State Auditor, reference to such record and the list so
recorded being made a part of these minutes.
The Coity Depository filed its monthly statement, showing receipts and disburse-
ments of the various fundsp which having been audited were found to be correct.
There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried, the Board
then adjourned until 10s00 o'clock A. M., Mondayq October i7: 1949.

Indian River County. The attached proposal covers everything necessary to make this install-
ation as per your specifications.
Mr. Bishop has made several trips to Vero Beach relative to this equipment and has discussed
quite throughly with Mrs. Barris the equipment we propose to furnish.
Mr. Bishop will also be present at the opening of these bids to answer any questions that
might arise relative to our bid.

We highly reecomdgd the Ring Type Visible Record Binder due to the fact that it's flxibilit
and durability in use on Permanent Registration Systems far exceed the Prong Type Binder.
The above quotations also include all necessary instructions and supervision necessary for the
complete installation to the satisfaction of The Board of County Commissioners and Supervisor
of Registration of Indian River County.

The above Bid is on the basis of the latest specifications furnished by your Su ervisQr of
Registration. Your Notice inviting Bids dated September 29th, 1949 calls for. 18 2 -inch
Capacity Binders and 4 3 -inch Binders, or a total of 22 Binders.
If the Contract awarded is for 22 Binders instead of 21, our total Bid is $1,675.42 instead
of $19652.42.
If Visible Record Binders are to be furnished with eyelets in covers, add $25.00 to the above
prices.

Delivery on all equipment and supplies will be made on or before December 10th, 1949.
If we are the successful bidders we will furnish a competent representative to plans lay outs
co-ordinate, and supervise the complete installation and instruct the clerks in the correct
and most efficient way of using the entire system. .

thank the members of your Board of Commissioners and the Supervisor of Registration for the
courtesies extended the writer.
If we are awarded this Contract, the writer will personally assist your Supervisor of
Registration in installing this System.

Each of the representatives of the foregoing companies presented and demonstrated
the binders, forms, etc. for the new registration sJrstems and after all bids had been care-
fully{arialyzed and considered, upon motion of Commissioner Stewarts seconded by Commissioner
Watts and unanimously carried, the bid was awarded to George Stuarts Inc. in the sum of
$1652.42; said bid being the lowest of the three which were submitted. The bid was accepted
subject`to any changes in forms or supplies that might be indicated by the Secretary of
State on or before November 11 1949.

appointed to select and arrange for the necessary and required office space for the

Judge Cobb and Sheriff O'Steen called the Board's attention to -the need of an
electric water:
/cooler for the upstairs stating the present one was warn out and beyond repair. The Board
instructed Judge and Sheriff to make an effort to obtain a water cooler which would be satis-
factory and yet be very little, if any, expense to the County.

I, D. H, SAUNDERS, of the County of Martin State of Florida, being the owner of
Tax Sale Certificate No. 2187 dated the 4th. day of September 1933, in the sum of $36.48
covering the following described property, to -wits

hereby make application to your Honorable Body to issue a duplicate Tax Sale Certificate in
lieu of the original described herein for the following reasons:
(1) That said Tax Sale Certificate was purchased by me April 10, 1939 (396) for

(2) That said Tax Sale Certificate, or any interest therein, has not been hypothe-

therefor.
(3) That said Tax Sale Certificate has been lost or destroyed and that I have made

(4) That if duplicate Certificate is issued in lieu thereof the should

his successors in office, in the sum of $25.28, being double the amount of the face value
of said Tax Certificate, for payment whereof well and truly to be made, I bind myself, heirs,
executors and administrators firmly by these presents should said Certificate be presented by
any person whomsoever, assigned or otherwise, for payment or application for Tax Deed thereon.
I solemnly swear, or affirm, that the statements contained herein in support of my
application for issuance of duplicate Tax Sale Certificate, are true and correct. So help

The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met at the Court House in
Vero Beach, Florida, at 10:00 o'clock A. M., Friday, October 219 1949, in regular adjourned
-views with the following ng members present: W. C. Graves, Jr., Chairman; Tom N. Stewart,
Aubrey L. Waddell, Sylvester Woods, and H. C. Watts. Also present were Charles A. Mitchell,
Attorney; E. E. Carter, Road and Bridge Superintendent; Mrs. Louis Harris, Jr., Supervisor
of registration; and Douglas Baker, Clerk.
The County Assessor of Taxes, Homer C. Fletcher, appeared before the Board and pre -
seated the tax rolls for the year 1949 on Real and Personal Property and also Intangible Tax
Roll, which were carefully examined and found correct and on motion made by H. C. Watts,
seconded by Sylvester Woods, and carried, were approved, and the warrants to each of said
rolls were annexed thereto and is in words and figures., following:
THE STATE OF FLORIDA
To Troy E. Moody, Tax Collector of the County of Indian River:
You are hereby commanded to collect out of the real estate and personal property,
and from each of the persons and corporations named in the annexed royals, the taxes set down
in each roll opposite each name, corporation or parcel of land therein described, and in case
taxes so imposed are not paid at the time prescribed by law, you are to collect the same by
levy and sale of the goods and chattels, lands and tenements so assessed, or of the person or ..
corporation so taxed; and all sums collected for the State taxes you are to pay to the State
Treasurer at such time as may be required by law, and at the same time you (are to pay to the
legally qualified Depository all sums collected for county taxes, district school taxes and
other special taxes; and you are further required to make all collections on -or before.the
first Monday in April; and on or before the first Monday in July you will make a final report
to and settlement with the Comptroller and County Commissioners.
