APRIL 5th,. 1927. as to the class of The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at the Court House in Vero Beach, on Tuesday April 5th 1927t at 10 . o' clock A.M.with the following members of the Board present: John H.Atki.n, Chairman; Geo.A.Braddock ; J.T.DaBruce; J.J.P.Hamilton and O.O.Helseth. Also present were Tiles Warren, Clerk and J.7. Knight, Sheriff. The Minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. It was ordered that the sum of 440.00 be donated to the 31oman's Club, for payment on County Nurse car, which is used as official County car. The report of the Grand Jury empaneled for the Spring term of the Circuit Court was read by the Clerk to_ the Board. The Notary Public bond of FX.Heiser in the sum of $500.00 with the American Surety Company, a corporation, as surety wa.s approved. The Deputy Sheriff bond of Be W. Knight, in. the sum of - x$1,000.00 with Fred Be Ring and L. P. Simmons, as sureties was approved. It was ordered that the County Engineer repaid causeway at Quay Bridge and charge same to the Quay Bridge District, which is to be paid for when the District is in a position to do so. Ordered that the County Engineer repair the streets and avenues of the City of 7abasso in accordance with resolution of the City Council and charge to the City, same to be deducted from the pro-rato amount of Road & Bridge taxes that will be due the City from the 1926. assessment roll. In compliance with -request from the State Road Department as to the class of road to be built on State Road No. 4, from 'Pero Beach to South County line, the Board went on record as favoring a concrete highway. It was ordered that the. Reams road between the present Dixie Highway and State Road No. 4 be made 16 feet wide instead of 9 feet as per present plans. Be Cobb....... ............. 84.30 X264.29 which was ordered placed in the Road & Bridge Fund of the County. The several bills against the County, having been audited, were examined and app- roved and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. The said bills and accounts being on file in the Clerk's office and made a part of these minutes. The several County Depositories of the County filed their monthly statement of accounts, which after being audited were found to be correct. There being no farther business, on motion made, seconded and carried, the Board then adjourned. ATTE` Clerk. 11
