The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met in Regular Session at the Court House at Vero Beach, Indian River County, Florida. at 10:00 o'clock A.M. on July 21, 1925. The following members of the Board were present: John H. Atkin, Chairman, G.A. Braddock, 0.0. Helseth nd J.W. LaBruce. Thera way also present Wiles Warren, Clerk. Upon motion of Commissioner G.A. Braddock, seconded by Commissioner C.O. Helseth, the following resolutions were adopted by unanimous vote of all members of the Board of County Commissioners: WHEREAS Special Road and Bridge District No. 4 of St. Lucie County, Florida, was duly and legally created and established by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, prior to the creation of Indian River County, Florida, but by the enactment of the law creating Indian River County, Florida, the territory of the District theretofore known as Special Road and Bridge District No. 4 of St. Lucie County, Florida, has become a part of Indian River County, Florida; and whereas the: Dnard of County Commissioners of Indian Aiver County, Florida, does hereby recognize, declare and adopt the territory of said Spey+al Road_and Bridge Diatriot as Special Road. and Bridge District No. 4 of Indian hiver County, Florida; and WHEREAS, in the election held to determine whether or not the territory embraced in said District should be constituted into a Special Road and Bridge District, it was also decided that certain roads and bridges be constructed in said District and paid for by the issue of bonds, and WHEREAS, in the petition requesting the Board of County Commissioners to oall an election in the territory which it was then proposed to create into a Special Road and Bridge Diatrict and which has since been created into a Special Road and Bridge District, and designate1 as Special Road and Bridge District No. 4, it was stated that the amount estimated as being meoessary with which to pay for the construction of said roads and bridges was $490,000; and SEAS, in the call for the above described election published by order of the Board of county Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida (the territory comprising said Special load and Brodge District being then located within St. Lucie County, Flori it was stated that.if said bonds were authorized to be issued by said election then said bonds would be issued in denomination of $1,000 each, loped July 1,1925, said bonds to be numbered from '1" to x'490" both inclusixe, and bear interest at the rate of six per cent; per annum; payable semi -ani i*ily on the first day of July and the first day of Januar] of each year. The principal of, said bonds being payable as follows: ORp bonds on July 1, 1926; two bonds on July 1, 1927; four bonds on July 1, of each of the years 1923 Ltd 1930 ino?usive; nine bonds on July 1 of each of the years 19a# to 1935 inclusive; fourteen bonds on July 1 of each of the years 1936 to 1940 inclusive; nineteen bonds on July 1 of each of the years 1941 to 1945 inclusive; twenty-four bonds on July 1 of each of bhe years 1946 to 1950 inclusive; and twenty.nine bonds on July 1 of each of the years 1951 to 1955 inclusive; and AREAS', at the date of the filing and preeentatio n of the petition for the calling of an election to determine whether said Special Road and Bridge Diatriot Should be created, and whether the roads and bridges described in said petition should • be. The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County are authorized to perform all acts and duties ;.i connection with the creation of said Special Road and Bridge Distriot and the issuance .id sale of bonds thereof, the assess- ment and levy of taxes to pay interest and principal of said bonds, and the ex- penditure of the funds of said Special Road and Bridge District, and any part of said duties not previously performed by the .oard of County Commies,I.oners of St. Lucie County, NOW,THEP.EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida; That the territory of the District heretofore ]mown as Special Road and, Bridge District No.4 of St. Lucie County, Florida, is hereby recognized, declared, and adopted as a Special Road andr.Bridge District of Indian River 6ounty, Florida, by the name of Special Road and Bridge District No.4 of Indian River County, Florida. RESOLVED FURTHER, that a tax also be levied for each and every year for thirty yearn on all the taxable property in said Special Road and Bridge District No.4 in Indian River County, Flarida, sufficient to raise such sum of money as will meet and pay off the interest of said bends as the same beoome due and payableduring each year of said thirty years. Each bid shall be accompanied by certified check for 35,000.00 payable to the the order of this Board of County Commissioners, and the right is reserved to reject any and all bide; RESOLVED FURTHER, that F.L.
