issioners of Indian River County, Florida, in the office of said Board in the Indian River
County Courthouse, Vuro Beach, Florida, on October 6, 1953, at 10:U0 o'clock A. M., the
time stated in said public notice.
6. That this Board does herewith close, vacate and abandon any public or private
street, road, alley -way or other place used for travel and all portions thereof and does here-
with renounce and disclaim any right of Indian River County, Florida, and the public in and
to all of the rights of ways hereinbefore described.

The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were
examined and found correct, were approved and warrants issued in settlement of same. Such
Bills and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, the warrants',I
so issued from the respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute Book, as provided

by the rules of the State Auditor, reference to such record and the list so recorded being
made a part of these minutes.
The County Depository filed its monthly statement, showing receipts and dis-
bursements of the various funds, which have been audited, were found to be correct.

Board then adjouned.

The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met at the'I
i Court House in regular meeting at 9:00 A. M. Tuesday, November 3, 1953, with the following
members present: Commissioners W. C. Graves, Jr., Chairman; Aubrey L. Vaddell, J. J. P.
Hamilton, H. C. Watts and Allison Warren. Also present were E. E. Carter, Road and Bridge
Superintendent, Sherman N. Smith, Jr., Attorney; L. B. O'Steen, Sheriff; and Douglas Baker,
Clerk.
Minutes of October 6th regular meeting were read and approved on Motion of
Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner Watts and carried.
Mr. H. E. Kjorswick submitted a plat of Sebastian River property covering
Ercildoune Heights Subdivision. Commissioner Watts, Attorney Smith and Road and Bridge Super-
intendent Carter were appointed a committee to investigate with power to act in order that
the matter can be disposed of within thirty days if possible. The County agrees to pay for the
Deed to right-of-way.
Notary Public Bord for William Kyrle Simms in the sum of $500.00 with St. Paul
Mercury Indemnity Company as surety was approved by Douglas Baker, Clerk of Circuit Court, on
October 13th, 1953.

Mrs. Anne Christensen, County Welfare Case Worker, submitted a report of her
activities for the Month of October and said report was filed with the Clerk.
Attorney Smith was requested to prepare Resolution with regard to County Agent
M. A. Boudet, deceased.
On Motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Warren and carried,
Clerk Baker was instructed to issue salary check of M. z�. Boudet, deceased, to Alline J.
Boudet.
A petition signed by Martha Hamilton together with thirty-five. other residents
and citizens of the Winter Beach area was presented requested the Winter Beach roadside ditch
be cleaned. Upon recommendation of Commissioner Hamilton, it was moved by Commissioner
Waddell, seconded by Commissioner 14arren and carried, that the work be done.
A committee of Commissioner Hamilton and Commissioner Watts together with Road
& Bridge Superintendent Carter were appointed to investigate Fellsmere Cross -State road
matters.
Clerk Baker submitted the annual financial report ending September 30, 1953
and same being approved and a copy transmitted to the State Comptroller at Tallahassee.
Commissioner Warren was appointed a committee to obtain statistical information
regarding our town and the surrounding area relating to human and animal populations to com-
ply with such a request from Dr. Otto Moyer, D.VcM. of Daytona Beach, Florida, who may be
interested in locating here.
The following was appointed Deputy Sheriff by L. B. O'Steen, Sheriff and Douglas

In paragraph 3 of the letter of October 12th pertaininU to the parking area
in !front!- of the building, the .Vest line of this parking area will be at an elevation to per-
mit a continuation of the slope from the curb line to the West line of the sidewalk at the
same angle. Then the plant area will be level with the elevation of the West line -of -the
parking area to the building. If the plant area requires any substantial raising to reach,
this elevation, then the poinsettias will be removed, the plant area filled and the,poin-

The Chairman called the meeting to order and.announced the primary purpose of
this meeting was to discuss right-of-way matters on State Road No. 5.
j Mr. Bill goring of the firm of Merriman, Boring and Sutherland appeared before
the Bo!prd and presented two plats; of Emerson Park. one, the regular plat and the other a plat

shotvin;{g drainage facilities, etc.;
Mr. Boring asked that the Board approve the plat and put up a Certified check
in the amount of $1,000.00, until a satisfactory Performance Bond in the amount of $1,000.00
could be posted.
The Board asked vh'e.rman N. Smith, Jr., attorney to work out the details of
the performance Bond, and requested Douglas Baker, Clerk to hold the certified check for
$1,000,.00 until the Performance Bond is posted at which time he is to refund the certified

Upon Motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Watts and unani-
