SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT
MEETING MINUTES
The Board of Commissioners of the Solid Waste Disposal District (SWDD) met at the
County Commission Chambers, 1801 27th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, June 11, 2013.
Present were Chairman Joseph E Flescher, Vice Chairman Wesley S Davis, and Commissioners
Peter D. O'Bryan, Bob Solari, and Tim Zorc. Also present were County Administrator Joseph A.
Baird, County Attorney Alan S. Polackwich, Sr., and Deputy Clerk Leona Adair Allen.
Chairman Flescher called the meeting to order at 12:20 p.m.
15.B.1. CHANGE ORDER No. 1 TO PAUL JACQUIN & SONS, INC. (BID
No. 2012051) FOR THE NEW OSLO CUSTOMER CONVENIENCE
CENTER PROJECT
MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner O'Bryan,
SECONDED by Vice Chairman Davis, to approve staff's
recommendation.

Commissioner O'Bryan said he had recently visited the Oslo Customer Convemence
Center and saw progress, but did not believe the facility's would be able meet the tentative
opening date of mid-June.
Director of Utility Services Vincent Burke informed the Board that the new tentative date
to open is July 22, 2013.
The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the
Motion carried unanimously. The Board approved
deductive Change Order No. 1 in the amount of
$-465,627.04 to Paul Jacquin and Sons, Inc. (Bid No.
2012051); and approved 74 days of additional contract
time, as recommended in the memorandum of May 31,
2013.

ALL BACKUP DOCUMENTATION, RESOLUTIONS, AND ORDINANCES ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE
OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD AND ARE HEREBY MADE A PART OF THESE MINUTES
There being no further business, the Chairman declared the Solid Waste Disposal District
meeting adjourned at 12:21 p.m.
