SMITH Clerk to the Board July 17, 2013 SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT The Board of Commissioners of the Solid Waste Disposal District of Indian River County, Florida, met at the County Commission Chambers, 1801 27th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 to hold a Public Hearing and present the proposed Solid Waste Disposal District Budget for Fiscal Year 2013 -2014 . Present were Chairman Joseph E . Flescher, Vice Chairman Wesley S . Davis, and Commissioners Peter D . O ' Bryan, Bob Solari , and Tim Zorc . Also present were County Administrator Joseph A. Baird, Management and Budget Director Jason Brown, County Attorney Dylan T. Reingold, and Deputy Clerk Leona Adair Allen. PUBLIC HEARING -SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT (S .W.D .D .) PROOF OF PUBLICATION OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR HEARING IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD At 1 : 30 p .m . , the Chairman convened the Public Hearing for the Solid Waste Disposal District for Fiscal Year 2013 -2014 . Administrator Baird, using a PowerPoint presentation (on file), reported that the 2013 - 2014 SWDD proposed budget of $ 11 ,200 , 862 , was an increase of $ 112 ,461 from last year; and listed the following proposed Solid Waste Disposal District rates : • Residential Equivalent Residential Unit (E . R.U . ) - $ 44 . 29 , an increase of $ 1 . 89 • Commercial Waste Generation Unit (W. R.U . ; $ 30 .44 for Commercial W. G .U . ; and $ 18 . 81 for Readiness4o-Use Fee, as stated and recommended by staff.
