SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT
The Board of Commissioners of the Solid Waste Disposal District of Indian River
County, Florida, met at the County Commission Chambers , 1801 27v' Street, Vero Beach,
Florida, on Wednesday, July 18 , 2012 to discuss the proposed Solid Waste Disposal District
Budget for Fiscal Year 2012 -2013 . Present were Chairman Gary C . Wheeler, Vice Chairman
Peter D . O ' Bryan, and Commissioners Wesley S . Davis, Joseph E . Flescher, and Bob Solari .
Also present were County Administrator Joseph A. Baird, County Attorney Alan S . Polackwich ,
Sr. , and Deputy Clerk Leona Adair Allen,

OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD
At 1 : 30 p. m. , the Chairman convened the Public Hearing for the Solid Waste Disposal
District for Fiscal Year 2012-2013,

Administrator Baird used a PowerPoint presentation (on file) to provide a synopsis of the
SWDD 2012 -2013 proposed budget of $ 11 , 034 , 069 , an increase of $ 541 , 509 from last year . He
listed the Solid Waste Disposal District rates as follows :
Residential — Equivalent Residential Unit (E. R.U .) $42 . 40 , no change from last year
Commercial — Waste Generation Unit (W. G.U.) $29 . 39 , no change from last year
Readiness -To-Use Fee $ 18 . 13 , no change from last year
The Chairman opened the Public Hearing. There were no speakers, and the Chairman
closed the Public Hearing.

ON MOTION by Commissioner Solari , SECONDED by
Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously approved
the proposed budget in the amount of $ 11 , 034 ,069 , for the
Solid Waste Disposal District .
There being no further business , the Chairman adjourned the meeting at 1 : 32 p . m .
