TUESDAY, AUGUST 2nd 1929.
The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met
at the Court House in Vero Beach, on Tuesday, August 2nd 1927, with the following
members of the Board present: John H. Atkin, Chairman; Geo. A. Braddock; J.WeLaBruce
and J. J. P. Hamilton. ,Also present were Riles Marren, Clerk and J.W.Knight,Sheriff.
The minutes of the previous meetings were zead and approved.
C. E. Berg appeared before the Board and offered the Campbell ;Arcade Building
to the County for a Court House for the purchase price of V10090.00.00, which offer
was taken under consideration.

The Board accepted the report of the Quay Bridge District Commissioners, and
cheek for balance cash on hand in the sum of $4,919.50 was received, and statement of
$1,483.31 in the Farmers Bank for Interest & Sinking Funds and an over -draft of $180'81

of the General Fund in the same bank.
R. E. Barker, bridge tender of the Vero Bridge :District was ordered paid the
monthly salary of X75.00 each month .for such services. It was further ordered that the
City be given the police power and authority over the bridge as it is within the
incorporated limits of the City of Vero Beach.
The Deputy Sheriff bond of T.H.Sheffield in the sun of $1,000.00 with I.S.
Coleman and Donald Forbes as sureties was approved.
The several bills against the County having been audited, were-ez.amined, and
found correct and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. Such bills and accounts
being on file in the office of the Clerk ani which by reference thereto is made a part
of these minutes.
The 'Several County Depositories filed their monthly statement of accounts
of the various funds of the County, which having been audited and examined were found
to- be correct.
There being no further business on motion made, seconded and earried the
Board then adjourned until the regular meeting in September.
