Civil Engineering and Land Surveying for Intersection
Improvements at 58th Avenue and State Road 60
AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING/LAND SURVEYING
SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN KIMLEY-HORN AND ASSOCIATES, INC . AND
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA.
This is an amendment to the existing Engineering/Land Surveying Services Agreement
(AGREEMENT) dated February 22d , 2005 between Kimley-Horn and Associates , Inc .
(ENGINEER) and Indian River County (COUNTY) . This amendment addresses changes in
" Section III - Scope of Services " , " Section V - Compensation" and " Section XVI — Duration of
Agreement " of the AGREEMENT .
Amendment Description
This Amendment includes the following :
" SECTION III — SCOPE OF SERVICES " is being modified to incorporate the following :
Task One — Site Planning Analysis :
We will review the impacts of the proposed roadway improvements and additional right-
of-way acquisitions on four individual properties within the project envelope as depicted
within the preferred alignment.
This analysis will include reviewing the proposed roadway improvements, the current
Indian River County Land Development Regulations and S . R. 60 Corridor Plan
requirements . The ENGINEER will then prepare site plan studies for the four properties
to account for reconfiguration of existing parking spaces/landscape buffers and the
impact of the proposed roadway, utility relocations and pedestrian improvements .
We will prepare one initial site modification plan for each of the four properties and
review with the COUNTY and effected parties . We will then provide one round of
revisions to these plans based on the input from the meeting .
The ENGINEER will prepare these site plans utilizing ACAD technology and colorize
these plans digitally using M-Color software .
Task Two — Illustrative Cross Sections and Streetscape Master Plan :
The ENGINEER will look at the entire intersection improvement area within the public
right-of-way and develop an overall streetscape theme which could include : street trees,
lighting, specialty paving, gateway features and median/roadside plantings .

Intersection Improvements
The ENGINEER will prepare one overall conceptual plan view streetscape master plan
and an opinion of probable construction cost for the project area (excluding private
property) and review with the COUNTY . The ENGINEER will then provide one round
of revisions to these plans based on the input from the meeting.
As a part of this Task the ENGINEER will also prepare up to eight ( 8 ) illustrative cross
sections in key locations to show the proposed roadway improvements , proposed
streetscape elements and their relationship to the adjacent properties
The ENGINEER will prepare these plans utilizing ACAD technology and colorize these
plans digitally using M- Color software .
" SECTION V — COMPENSATION" is being modified to incorporate the following :
The COUNTY agrees to pay and the ENGINEER agrees to accept for services rendered
pursuant to this Agreement fees inclusive of expenses in accordance with the following :
A . Professional Services Fee
The basic compensation mutually agreed upon by the ENGINEER and the
COUNTY is as follows :

" SECTION XVI — DURATION OF AGREEMENT " is being modified to incorporate the
following :
The time for completion of the above described scope of services detailed in this
amendment will be three (3 ) months following the notice to proceed from the COUNTY .

The AGREEMENT is hereby amended as specifically set forth here in . All other sections of the
AGREEMENT shall remain in full force and effect and are incorporated herein .
This Amendment No . 1 to the AGREEMENT regardless of where executed, shall be governed
by and construed by the laws of the State of Florida.
