BRIDGE REPLACEMENTS AND WIDENING OF 66TH AVENUE
FROM SOUTH OF SR 60 TO 59TH STREET
PROFESSIONAL CIVIL ENGINEERING, GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING
AND LAND SURVEYING SERVICES
AMENDMENT NO , 1 TO THE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING/LAND SURVEYING
SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN ARCADIS AND INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,
FLORIDA.
This is an amendment to the existing Engineering/Land Surveying Services Agreement
(AGREEMENT) dated September 6 , 2005 between ARCADIS (ENGINEER) and Indian River
County ( COUNTY) . This amendment addresses changes in " Section I Project Limits and
Description" , " Section III - Scope of Services " , and " Section V - Compensation " .
Amendment Description
This Amendment includes the following :
" SECTION I - PROJECT LIMITS AND DESCRIPTION " is being modified to incorporate
the following :
Consultant services are required for the preparation of surveys ; right- of-way map ; parcel
sketches and legal descriptions ; subsurface geotechnical investigations ; road design plans ; bridge
plans ; permit applications and utility relocations associated with the construction of 66th Avenue
as a 4 lane roadway; also included are intersection improvements at 66th Avenue/49th Street, 66th
Avenue/53rd Street, and 66th Avenue/57th Street located in Indian River County, FL . The
improvements consist of the following :
Expansion of 66'hAvenue (North of 45th Street to 59th Street)
• As a 4 lane divided highway section
Expansion of the intersection at 66'h Avenue & 49th Street, 66th Avenue & 53rd Street,
and 66th Avenue & 57th Street to ultimately include.
• A single left turn lane on the north, south, east and west approaches along with
the existing single through lane movement east and westbound.
The replacement of the existing bridges over the Indian River Farms canal at 49th
Street, 53rd Street, and 57th Street, and the North Relief Canal.
A traffic signal will be designed to accommodate the roadway improvements at the
following intersections:
• 66th Avenue and 26th Street
• 66th Avenue and 41st Street

• 661h Avenue and 451h Street
A mast-arm signal configuration will be designed to meet current County and FDOT
standards . Luminaire will be provided on each mast arm pole.
The design survey will extend a distance of 1, 800 linear feet east and west of 66th
Avenue at the following streets :
• 33rd Street
• 37th Street
• 45th Street
• 49th Street
• 53rd Street
• 57th Street
The design survey along the above side streets will extend from the south canal right of
way line to 100 feet north.
A right of way map will be prepared for 6e Avenue. A right of way map will not be
prepared for the sidestreets. Sketch and legal descriptions will be prepared for right of
way takings along the sidestreets. The design survey will include field work associated
with locating property corners and right of way information along the sidestreets.
The roadway plans will detail the realignment of 33rd Street, 371h Street, 45th Street, 49th
Street, 53rd Street, and 57th Street to provide for an 18 foot wide clear zone within 800
feet east and west of 66th Street, and then transitions to match the existing roadway
sections.
The landscape and irrigation plans shall include the following:
• Key Sheet
• Tabulation of Quantities
• Landscape Plan Sheets
• Irrigation Plan and details
The landscape plans will include the design of an electrical system and coordination
for service points for irrigation pumps. A Service Point Detail shall be included in the
plan set showing the required conduits, conductors, meters, and all necessary
equipment. The landscape plans will include a landscape maintenance plan .
The irrigation plans will detail the location of all irrigation heads, valves, mainline
pipe and zone lines.
Limits of project to extend from 2, 160+1- if north of 45th Street to 59th Street for a
distance of approximately 7, 990 if or 1 . 5 miles.
Also included is : 1, 800 if west and east of the following intersections :
• 66TH Avenue and 33rd Street
• 661h Avenue and 37t4 Street
• 66th Avenue and 04 Street

Project length (Original Agreement) = 17, 400 if or 3. 30 miles.
Project length (Amendment Number 1) = 23, 590 if or 4. 47 miles.
Total Project length = 40, 990 if or 7. 76 miles.

F . The Control Survey and Right- of-Way Survey shall depict existing right-of- way
lines , proposed right- of-way lines, monumentation, etc, in compliance with the
attached "Exhibit A" as provided by Indian River County.

"SECTION IV = TIME FOR COMPLETION" is being modified to incorporate the following :
The time for completion of the 90 % design drawings , permit applications , and Engineer 's
Opinion of Probable Construction Cost for the project shall be eighteen ( 18 ) months from the
date of execution of this ADDENDUM . Once permits are received, 100 % design drawings shall
be completed 90 days thereafter.
"SECTION V — COMPENSATION" is being modified to incorporate the following :
The COUNTY agrees to pay and the ENGINEER agrees to accept for services rendered
pursuant to this Agreement fees in accordance with the following :

This Amendment No . 2' to the AGREEMENT regardless of where executed, shall be governed by
and constructed by the laws of the State of Florida.

All Right- o &way projects shall adhere to Chapter 177 & 472 , F . S . and
Chapter 61GI7 , F . A. C . as minimum and be certified as such .
R/W Maps shall be prepared/submitted in the form of a certified Map with all
applicable certifications and criteria met.
1 . Cover sheet/Key sheet .
2 . Survey notes and report sheet (As applicable)
3 . Survey Control sheet (As applicable and or necessary)
4 . Subsequent R/W map sheets .
5 . Supply a Box or area for county acceptance and/or certification .
