SPECIFIC PURPOSE SURVEY FOR 8th Street and 74th Avenue Roadway Design and Improvement Project IRC Project No . 03- 107 Sections 7 , 8 , 12 , 13 , 17 , & 18 Township 33 South , Range 38 East Indian River County , Florida All services performed under this contract shall be supervised and certified by a licensed Surveyor and Mapper registered with the State of Florida and staff employed directly with your firm . All survey procedures and final submittals shall meet or exceed Minimum Technical Standards for Specific Purpose and Horizontal Control Survey' s as set forth in Florida Statues Chapter 61 G17- 6 Florida Administrative code pursuant to section 472 . 027 , Florida Statues . Furthermore all services performed shall adhere to F . D . O . T . safety procedures and guidelines for Land Surveyors . Indian River County bases the following specifications on minimum requirements for this particular project . If the consultant so desires to modify or " enhance " these requirements all modifications shall be submitted in writing to the County Surveyor for approval prior to proceeding with task . DOC w Page 2 8 `h Street and 74`h Ave Specific Purpose Survey Work Order No : 1 Burdett & Assoc . SCOPE OF SERVICES Project Limits : 8th Street from 1000 ' West of 74th Avenue to the centerline intersection of 8th Street and 66th Avenue 74th Avenue from 1000 ' South of 8th Street to 100 ' North of 12th Street . This also includes the proposed realignment of 74th Avenue 12th Street from 74th Avenue West 100 ' (Total project length approximately 13/4 miles ) SECTION I : SPECIFIC PURPOSE (TOPOGRAPHIC ) SURVEY : The Consultant will prepare a Specific Purpose Survey , at a scale of 1 " = 40 ' delineating topographic detail of the project corridor. The survey will be used as a Design Survey for the development of roadway improvement plans . The survey will be comprised of a cover sheet containing a vicinity map , surveyor' s certification , general project description , and other information pertinent to the survey . There will be six detail sheets containing two rows of survey data utilizing " match lines " . Existing right of way lines will be established based upon the recorded plat of Indian River Farms Subdivision as recorded among the Land Records of Indian River County in Plat Book 2 , Plat 25 , The Specific Purpose Survey will adhere to , and the consultant will be responsible for: Horizontal Datum to be based on the Florida State Plane Coordinate System , East Zone , North American Datum of 1983/ 1990 Readjustment , Vertical Datum ( NGVD 1929) will be based upon existing benchmarks to be provided by the County . Existing Benchmarks will lie within '/4 mile of the project . Cross Section data will be collected at even 100 ' stations along the survey baseline ( Section Line ) and will extend 50 ' beyond the existing right of way lines or top of canal banks . Cross section data will also be collected at any visible grade breaks along the baseline . Where cross sections cross existing canals data will be collected from top of bank to existing waterline to water line to top of bank . Full canal cross -section data will be collected at every 500 ' station . DOC 'Page 3 8t' Street and 74"' Ave Specific Purpose Survey Work Order No : 1 Burdett & Assoc . Topographic Data will include , but is not limited to curb and gutter, sidewalks , surface and visible or obtainable sub — surface utilities and markings , fences , mail boxes , signs , drives , buildings within 100 ' of the existing right of way, culverts , drainage improvements , outlines of Groves , Woodlands and/or Vegetation , Large independent trees or clusters , etc . Existing drainage improvement data will include pipe sizes , type of material , invert elevations . It will be the County' s responsibility to insure the catch basins and manholes , etc . are clear of debris . Detailed Topographic data will also be collected at existing intersections as necessary to accurately define existing conditions . Data will be collected for the West half of the intersection at the 8th Street and 66th Avenue . The survey shall also comply with the current Florida Minimum Technical Standards , The Survey Baseline , Section Line , will be staked at the beginning and end of the project limits , bend points , points of intersection and referenced every +/- 1000 . ( 100 ' stations not to be set in the field ) Project Deliverables will consist of data files in AutoCAD 2000 format on CD and One signed and sealed 24 " x 36 " Mylar plot at a scale of 1 " = 40 ' . Prior to final delivery the Consultant will deliver one copy of the survey to the County Surveyor for review and approval . SECTION II : CONTROL SURVEY : Control Survey data/sheets shall be incorporated and be a part of the Specific Purpose Survey outlined above . The survey shall also comply with the current Florida Minimum Technical Standards , Project Deliverables will consist of data files in AutoCAD 2000 format on CD and One signed and sealed Mylar plot . Prior to final delivery the Consultant will deliver one copy of the survey to the County Surveyor for review and approval . SECTION III : COMPENSATION , The COUNTY agrees to pay, and the SURVEYOR agrees to accept , a fee for services rendered according to the "Scope of Services " identified in the attached EXHIBIT "A" Fee Schedule and Man Hours . A Lump Sum of $ 36 , 821 . 90 SECTION IV — TIME FOR COMPLETION The Work Order No . 1 shall be completed within 90 calendar days from Notice to Proceed . The AGREEMENT is hereby amended as specifically set forth herein . All remaining sections of the AGREEMENT shall remain in full force and effect , and are incorporated herein .
