WHEREAS, Coastal Health Systems of Brevard, Inc. has requested authorization to provide specific non-emergency interfacility medical
transport or transfer services limited to neonatal transports under a physician's order, out of the county.
WHEREAS , the above named service affirms that it will maintain compliance with the requirements of the Emergency Medical Services
Act
(Chapter 401 , F . S . ) and rules (Chapter 10D766 , F. A . C . ) and ordinances (Indian River Code of Ordinances Chapter
304 , Life Support and
Wheelchair Services) .
THEREFORE , the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County hereby issues a Class "C " Certificate of Public Convenience
and Necessity to said Company to provide specific non-emergency interfacility medical transport or transfer services
limited to neonatal
transports which originate in the County under a physician' s order.
