HomeMy WebLinkAbout11/10/1959TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 1959 The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, met at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida in a special meeting held at 9:00 o'clock A. M., Tuesday, November 10, 1959. Present were Robert W. Graves, D. B. McCullers, Jr., and Dr. B. Q. Waddell. Absent were Donald Macdonald and J. J. P. Hamilton. The Chairman called the meeting to order and announced this meeting was called for the purpose of considering a request made by the Mackle Company that they be allowed to construct buildings and other recreational structures upon the property dedicated by them as a park in Vero Beach Highlands Subdivision. After some discussion in the matter and upon Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and unanimously carried the following Resolution was adopted: RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that General Development Corporation and/or The Mackie Company are herewith granted the right to construct buildings and other recreational structures and facilities and the right to keep, maintain and operate recreational facilities and structures upon the property dedicated as a park, as shown on Sheet 2 of the plat of Vero Beach Highlands, Unit 2, recorded in Plat Book 5, page 78, in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian River County, Florida. There being no further business, upon Motion made, seconded and carried, the Board then adjourned.
