Further that W. K. Ward Co, Inc. are contemplating the installation of a sewer line and pump station to be connected to the sewer system in Vero Beach. tie stated that he will be glad to relinquish to the City of Vero Beach any part of his sewer franchise relating to Fresard Glendale Subdivi- sion. ubdivision. Upon Motion made by Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and unanimously carried, rublic Hearing on the relinquishment of said water and sewer franchise (or portions thereof) was directed to be held. Troy E. foody, Tax Collector appeared before the Board and stated that his quarters in the Courthouse are now inadequate to carry on his work, and he would like the Board to rent him space close to the Court- house uracil such time as the Courthouse would be enlarged. The Board authorized Air. Noody to get an estimate of the cost of renting another building, plus furniture, etc. and report back to the Board. The County Attorney stated that Condemnation Suit on U. S. #1 con- taining 71 parcels. He further stated the appraised value of ditch thru Graves VqjJ.1noit's property, SRD 235, is $175.00, but quite a few trees will have to be taken out and that Mr. Wilhoit will settle for $40.00. Upon 10_otion wade by Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, the Board agreed to settle with Mr. Wilhoit for $440.00. The County Attorney stated a settlement with Olivia Rymer could be made for an additional $145.00. This on SRD 256-R. Upon Motion made by Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Attorney settle for the additional amount of $145.00 ou SRD 256-R. The County Attorney further stated that Herman Walker would take a total of $600.00 settlement on SRD 273. Turner, Sr. and wife for approxi- mately $200.00. Upon Motion made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Comm- issioner McCullers and carried, the Board authorized the payment of $200.00 to Mr. Turner for a right of way deed on Old Dixie Highway. A general discussion was then held for future expansion of the Courthouse. The Board requested Commissioner Graves contact the owners of the property behind the Courthouse and see what said property could be acquired for. Upon Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Chairman and the County Attorney try to secure the land behind the Courthouse, and provided the property can be secured for approximately $36,000.00 an architect be employed to prepare estimates of the two story addition to the :forth end of the Courthouse. The several bills and accounts. against the County, having been audited, were examined and found correct, were approved and warrants issued in settlement of same. Such bills and accounts being on file in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, the warrants so issued from the respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute Book as provided by the rules of the State Auditor, reference to such record and the list so recorded being made a part of these minutes. The County Depositories filed their monthly statement, showing receipts and disbursements of the various funds, which have been audited and found to be correct.
