After some further discussion by the Board, Commissioner Waddell stated he would like to withdraw his former Motion and make the following Motion. That the Tax Assessor be instructed to re-evaluate the three houses built by Custom Built .domes, Inc. in Waburna Village Subdivision at 75% assessment instead of 100%. Commissioner Mac- donald seconded the Motion, which was unanimously carried. Mr. Eddie Helseth was recognized by the chair and stated he thought the assessed value on a piece of rental property he owns was too high. After some discussion in the matter Commissioner Macdonald made a Motion that since there was no inequity in the assessed value that the value remain as assessed. Said motion was seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and un- animously carried. In order to meet the estimated expenses of the General Fund., it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Six and wine -tenths (6.9) mills upon the dollar be levied and herei✓y ilposed. 2. In order to meet the estimated expenses of the Road and Erik e Fund, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Five and Two-tenths (5.2) mills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby ir::posed. 3. In order to meet the estimated expenses of the Fine and ior- feiture Fund, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Two and Seventy -Five hundredths (2.75) mills upon the dollar c.e levied and is hereby imposed. 4. In order to meet the estimated expenses of the Capital Outlay Fund, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of One-half (.5) mill upon the dollar be levied and is hereby imposed. 5. In order to provide funds to the Indian River County 4'ublic Healtb Unit, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Seventy -Five Hundredths (.75) mill upon the dollar to levied, assessed and is hereby imposed -upon all the property lying and being in the County of Indian River, the proceeds of which when collected shall be paid to the State Treasurer of the State of Florida for the account of the State Board of Health of the State or Florida to be expended by said State Board of Health as provided by Chapter 154, Florida Statutes. 6. Estimates having been made by the Board of Trustees of the INDIAN RIVER COUNTY HOSPITAL DISTRICT, and a certified copy of the Resolution thereof filed with this Board as required by law, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of One and Seventy-eight hundredths (1.70) Mills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby fixed and assessed for the year 1960 on all of the property in said District, the same being all of that area lying and being; within the boundaries of Indian River County, Florida; for the purpose of paying interest upon and providing a Sinking Fund for bonds of said District dated August 1, 1)59. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Tax Assessor of Indian River County, Florida, be and he is hereby directed to assess and levy all of the foregoing taxes as fixed and levied by this Board upon the taxable property in Indian River County, Florida, just and due taxation, and the Tax Collector of Indian River County, Florida, be and he is hereby directed to collect said taxes and pay over the same as provided by law, and that a certified copy of this Resolution be furnished to the County Assessor of Taxes and the County Collector of Taxes. Troy E. Moody, Tax Collector submitted the E & I List on Real and Personal and Intangible Property for the year 1959 and same was approved upon Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and unanimously carried. The County Engineer stated that since Heritage Estates S/D was going to pave a part of 12th Street going West from 20th Avenue, that an addi- tional 40 foot right of way was needed. He stated he had contacted Mr. James Carter and he would deed us the right of way for $250.00. Upon Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and carried, the Board authorized the payment of $250.00 to Mr. Carter for the additional right of way. There being no further business, upon Motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
