ER COUNTY, FLORIDA
By: ROBERT W. GRAVES,
Chairman
Dec. 1, 6, 1960.
The foregoing Notice was read by the Chairman, but no bids were
received. It was the consensus of the Board that this bid be left open
and any who might like to bid could still do so.
Mrs. Vern Whittier appeared before the Board and asked that the
Board have the gate across the Blue Cypress Lake Road be removed. The
Board asked the Attorney what the status of the Court action in this
matter was. The Attorney stated that the Court had jurisdiction over
this matter but if either party thought the facts had changed sufficiently
they could petition the Court for the gate to be removed. After consider-
able discussion in the matter, Commissioner McCullers made a Motion that
the Board request the Court open the gate. There being no second to the
Motion, Commissioner McCullers withdrew his motion. Commissioner Waddell
then made the following Motion. That the Board of County Commissioners
together with the Attorney attempt to negotiate with both parties
involved to amiably resolve the difference on all matters pending
concerning, and to report back for definite action by this Board the
second regular meeting in January. This motion was seconded by Comm-
issioner Macdonald and unanimously carried.
John Sutherland appeared before the Board with Mr. George Dales
and Mr. Franklin Dales regarding the petition by Mr. and Mrs. Deming
and Mr. and Mrs. Nielsen for abandonment of a part of a road in Orchid
Island S/D., Unit #1. After considerable discussion and upon Motion
made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and
carried, public hearing was ordered on the following Petition.
