EIGHTH RENEWAL TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE ST. JOHNS RIVER WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
AND
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY
FOR CONTROLLING ABANDONED ARTESIAN WELLS
THIS RENEWAL AGREEMENT is entered into this 2nd day of September , 2003 , by
and between the GOVERNING BOARD of the ST . JOHNS RIVER WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
("DISTRICT") , whose mailing address is Post Office Box 1429 , Palatka, Florida 32178- 1429 and INDIAN
RIVER COUNTY, ("COUNTY") , whose address is 1840 25"' Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32960 .
WHEREAS , DISTRICT and COUNTY entered into an Agreement on January 18 , 1996, for the
controlling of abandoned artesian wells; and renewed the Agreement on November 5 , 1996 , December 10,
1997 , September 9, 1998 , September 28 , 1999 , October 1 , 2000, October 1 , 2001 , and November 25 , 2002 .
WHEREAS , DISTRICT and COUNTY desire to once again renew the original AGREEMENT.
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the premises which are made a part of this
RENEWAL AGREEMENT, and the mutual covenants contained herein, DISTRICT and COUNTY renew
the original AGREEMENT, Contract #96D110, for an additional twelve ( 12) month period beginning
October 1 , 2003 , and ending September 30, 2004, with each party contributing $20 , 000 for controlling
abandoned artesian wells .
DISTRICT and COUNTY agree that all other terms and conditions of the original Agreement are
hereby ratified and continue in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have duly executed this Renewal on the date set forth
above .
